Whether they'll continue the story in the anime is whole different thing but I do know it was well received so here's hoping. From episode 15 and onward it was all anime only so those events never happened in the manga. It was still pretty good though.

Really? I didn't know that.
So won't that make the story between the manga and the anime different?

It would be akin to what Bleach and Naruto do. The filler would have no bearings over the overall plot.

But I think the changes in the anime were quite radical, weren't them?
I mean, they showed Rin and Yukio's mother, her dream for the world, her relationship to Satan, Satan battling the brothers and opening the gate and Yukio awakening his powers. Unless all of that was set to happen in the manga, too...

Although the changes were somewhat drastic (not that much because Yukio is also unlocking his demon/devil side in the manga in the latest chapter) it's been done in the past where events that seem major are simply whisked over and not even mentioned. We'll see once (if ever) Aniplex makes press release for future seasons/series based on the manga.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet....watch Steins Gate.
It starts off a bit strange, but then becomes very involving. It really goes into the personal costs of time travel better than just about any story/series/film about the matter...save Back To The Future in a more comical way.

I still need to watch Steins Gate. I've heard great things about it so it's definitely high in my priority list in series I have to watch.

For fans of FLCL, I'd recommend the directors/studios other efforts as well....
The Gunbuster 2 OVA Gurren Lagann Shikibane Hime Lots of robots and slapstick...but still a unique vision and a real flair for big action. There's some stuff in the first two that will really knock you out, cinematically.

I'd recommend Dennou Coil. Sort of like a kinder, gentler .hack or Ghost in the Shell. Wonderfully drawn characters and environment in an exciting story that takes its time.
And yeah, Steins;Gate is the s&*^.

I don't usually watch much anime but I just started watching Serial Experiments Lain. It's absolutely fantastic and weird as hell.

Close the World. Open the neXt. Yes, Lain is one of the classics.
Just finished Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai. Very funny light comedy that turns the usual sibling relationship rivalry on its head.

High School of the Dead. Rather fun. I'd love to watch more when they make more though the manga isn't that far ahead so it's doubtful that it'll be anytime soon.

Amagami SS. Pretty decent, though I wish they got in as much detail as the manga.

Man, it's probably been years since I posted here. That's because it's been years since I've watched a new anime. As usual, I picked something obscure.
JUDGE: This was an OAV released in 1991, which was dubbed by U.S. Manga Corps/Central Park Media in 1994 and probably released on DVD in 1997-1998 (and then re-released and packaged in 2000-2003). Naturally, CPM went under several years ago and much of their library which hasn't been purchased by other companies is out of print. I recall seeing this 45 minute OAV for sale back when VHS was king and back when I was still young and collecting anime based on what box covers looked cool. I balked on buying this back then, when it would have run $21 after tax. I saw this at a comic book shop brand new for approximately $5.05 due to a Black Friday style sale, and figured even if it stunk, that's cheaper than a Blockbuster rental. While it isn't the greatest thing ever, it actually was better than I expected. The best way to describe this is that it is very much like DC's Spectre, only Japanese. Hoichiro Ohma is a standard Japanese man who is a mid-level employee for a corporation, who dates a co-worker and is often the butt of jokes. He also mystically transforms into the JUDGE OF DARKNESS and goes after people who have escaped mortal law and basically "judges" them by confirming their crimes and killing them with summoned creatures. Everything he has is "of darkness". He has a BOOK OF DARKNESS and even a COURT OF DARKNESS. Ohma also has a magical bird...OF DARKNESS. Things become complicated when the Judge goes after the CEO of the company Ohma works for, who arranged to have a business partner killed by mercenaries. The CEO (whose design makes him look too comical, honestly) is defended by a mysterious paranormal "Defense Attorney" who basically demands a seven digit fee to protect people from the Judge Of Darkness. While the Judge ultimately gets his man, both he and the "Defense Attorney" are fated to duel in the COURT OF JUSTICE again. This isn't anything that will win "best of" awards, but for 45 minutes and for a cheap price, it's a fine view. The animation is so-so for 1991; better than some TV animation of the time, but I own OAV's from the 80's which look far better. The COURT OF DARKNESS showdown between the Judge and the Defense dude makes for an interesting scene. Basically, if you are annoyed that DC's short of THE SPECTRE was only 10 minutes, than this at 45 should feel more satisfying. There are elements of horror and philosophy here, and my low expectations were blown away. It is out of print, though, so finding it may be tough via legal means.

Enjoy. Although I'd highly recommend for you to skip the filler and go straight for the seasons containing the canon material.
