Defintely closer to a fair compromise I'm sure.

Hope it ends up balancing out at 8.5k postings but maybe I'm getting a little to greedy with expectations with that number.

So did anyone notice that the Thread Manager reposted the first posts of threads in the Film forum. So banned posters have been posting today, lol. Noticed it in the Harry Potter thread.

Thread Manager...I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for 5k post threads, I can tell you I haven't made any. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long SHH posting tenure. Skills that make me a nightmare for posters like you. If you let my forum go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the damage is attempting to be repaired. The threads in the Political and Community forums that were under 5,000 posts and were split have been re-merged.

Seriously, though, this seems like a very sloppy solution, and one that will cause a lot of headaches and make a fun online community less fun.

what I'm most worried about though is the RPGs at the bottum of the forum. I don't play in them anymore, on account of my chronic unreliability when it comes to finishing creative works in a timely fashion, but I still have an emptional investment in them. Do you have any idea how much trouble this causes for them? Keeping the games going can be hard enough as it is without having to worry about keeping track of which thread is which and where you posted last.

Still, upping the limit to 5K is a good start to fixing things.
