Well, insurance companies have about 400 mil for conservatives. Not exactly a fair fight there.

Do you really think that people would be interested in electing someone who isn't even 25 yet? The guy I work with says that I should start by helping out the community.

Youth is energy. Your age won't matter if you have the ideas to back them out - substance to match your style.

Your youth is more likely to earn you a spot in the paper or TV - it's an instant story. Take advantage of it. Use it to gain college volunteers - the most useful volunteers you can have.

Would building a resume of community achievement help? Absolutely. That's was a big incentive for my working on oil clean up. But people aren't afraid of electing young politicians. We have a special place in our hearts for them.

Well, because ... you said "insurance companies" so from reading your post, it was only "insurance companies" that gave the 400 million......so I just added that to the 400 million from other areas in the source I found....hence 800 million......

That's not exactly 88 million or 400 million.... so I was kind of confused....

I'm sure I could find all of the groups that have given to the DNC....and apparently there are a few more because they have gained more money overall than the RNC...

But that wasn't really my point....my point was, looks like the unions are going to put up a last minute fight for the win....

Now, I do believe somewhere that when its all said and done, if all the donations were calculated the Republicans might come out a little on top because A LOT of groups and individuals have been giving to specific campaigns and not to the RNC. But, I saw that on the news, and have not been able to find a source for specifics.
