Before Nixon, we didn't have a chance to hear much from ex-Presidents....so from that history on.....

This man totally takes the Office of the President and runs it through the **** pile everytime he opens his mouth.

Well look at her competition:

Of course she's the hottest Senator. But she's kinda the hottest by default

Hopefully, Christine O'donnel can give her some necessary competition.

I agree it was stupid comment, I'll cut Harry some slack since he was making a joking reference to some internet poll.

Agreed. I would give him credit for being the most passionate and humanitarian,...but he's really losing it. Bashing a passed away politician who can't defend himself as being responsible for your failure is disgusting. Re-imagining your 1-term Presidency as superior to others. He's becoming senile and irrelevant.

The worst part is that it is coming from a Daily Kos poll, which tends to be biased towards Democratic candidates.

It's starting to look like Feingold is done for. CNN/Time has done a poll with Feingold trailing Johnson 51% - 45% with both candidates capturing 94% of voters from their respective parties, Johnson capturing a whopping 21% of the independent vote, and only 2% are undecided

Raising taxes during a recession is the most idiotic policy decision anyone could ever make. There is no economic model anywhere that has or will ever work that says to get out of a recession you need to raise taxes.

And that is how Uncle Ben dies.

It's pretty damn obvious. A lot of the Democrats in Congress are not coming back (like Frank Kratovil, Suzanne Kosmas, Tom Periello, Chet Edwards, Earl Pomeroy, etc.).

By voting against the Bush tax cuts more Democrats will be looked upon as raising taxes in a recession, and being forced to take a position on it will hurt them more in an already bad environment, than help them.

I like Feingold. He's one of the few decent politicians in Washington. Shame that he has to be a victim of idiotic Democratic policies. Thanks Obama. Who knew that change would be running out the few decent members of Congress?

I think that Russ sold out with that vote on health care. I think that really tarnished his "independent" image.

I think his age helped a lot more. Back when Harry Reid was younger using the word negro to refer to African-Americans wasn't racist. It's like my 91 year old great-grandmother using colored to refer to African-Americans.

People my age would get crucified if we used language like that. But when old people use it, we just brush it aside as a relic of the past, Archie Bunker styled ignorance, or cute.

The Bush tax cuts hasn't helped us in the last, what, 8 years. What makes anyone think they will start now. Isn't that the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Yup, they are looking after their own jobs instead of trying to help America.
