So were getting a reboot of Uncanny X Men led by Scott and a new comic called Wolverine and the X Men? We already have Wolverine leading a team in X Force. Is there really a need to split Uncanny into two comics besides money?
This better not effect Uncanny X force. |

When has Wolverine being on another team ever prevented him from being elsewhere? I dont think him leading an X-men squad would do anything to take away from him leading X-force. Even if it did, Warren is co-leader of the squad. The book could always and most likely will get revamped if it sticks around post-Schism

Warren is co-leader of X-Force?! Is that dude even in possession of his faculties anymore?

What a horrible ending to a horrible arc.

Man, you guys are way harsh on Gillen. The problem's easily what other people have left him to work with. The man's a pretty fantastic writer.

Yeah, we should blame Whedon that Gillen chose to bring Breakworld up out of nowhere for a story that was badly told. That makes tons of sense. The only thing Gillen worked with in this arc that was from Fraction's run was Spacesuit Kitty. And he brought Kitty back to normal Kitty. It took four issues of poor storytelling and random slasher trope to get there. I'm pretty sure he could have come up with a way to do it in one issue and skip all the superfluous bad storytelling. Great writers can write bad stories, you know. It happens.

Brand: "We can't take these Breakworld refugees in on behalf of any country in the UN, but you X-Men might because your island's sovereign status is still up in the air."
Cyclops: "Duh, okay. I'll take in the deposed former dictator/warlord that my team personally overthrew. Surely no foul plot is afoot!" [several predictable attempted murder attempts later] Cyclops: "No need to send the Breakworlders home! Despite the fact that they're new to the concept of peaceful relations, their leader attempted to kill us all last night, they once shot a giant bullet at our planet in an attempt to destroy it, and it was stated earlier that no country on Earth would take them in, we've given them their own neighborhood in San Francisco!"

Maybe the Sentinels will wipe them out by accident in Schism so we don't have to have a retcon a few months down the line. Or if we're even luckier, maybe the Evolutionaries will do it in the past part of that arc simply because they did and still might prove to be a threat to mutantkind
And by the way - has the world so soon forgotten about the Secret Invasion? Do you think maybe you should be a touch hesitant about taking in alien refugees you know nothing about? Not that they should all be tarred with the same brush as the planet killer bullet makers of course - but ya kinda have let him in too |

Yeah I have to agree
everything about this arc was just kinda retarded Gillen's typically a great writer, but this was poorly thought out I assume they'll most likely just be forgotten about, like so many other x-plot-threads through the years

You know, I have no problem with a story about this, and I have no problem with Hope, but why the **** is it in Uncanny and not Generation Hope?

They are trying to get more people interested in Generation Hope (Lowe's even said GH is the best x-book). Put her in a book people read and team her with Wolverine where I'm assuming they kinda do the Wolverine/Jubilee thing. Trying to make it work and make people care. Hope will appear in a Deadpool teamup, I'm calling it now.

Since I don't read Generation Hope, this will at least give me the chance to see if Gillen is the first person since Swierczynski who can write a decent Hope.

Gillen writes a better Hope than Swier-spaceshark-czynski. Much better. Generation Hope is actually a pretty good book, even though the first arc really floundered.
But she has a book for herself. That means she shouldn't be the focal point of an ensemble team book. Screw marketing. Yes, commence with butt-hurt crying about Fraction. By all means.

You seem awfully obsessed with talking about a writer who's been off the book for half a year.

GH could come with a lifetime supply of bacon and I wouldn't read it. Cable and Nightcrawler died to save this girl and she's done nothing of importance yet. Here's hoping Wanda or Jean can fix the mutant population.
