If this did take place in Gen Hope, then there would be the usual complaints of Wolverine being overexposed, taking over another book, etc....
I think defeating Bastion, saving like 90% of whats left of the mutant population and part of the population of SF, and jumpstarting new activations qualifies as doing something of importance Last edited by Havok83; 06-26-2011 at 11:08 AM. |

He tried to prevent the House of M from happening and he failed. His magic wasnt capable of undoing the damage that Wanda had caused

Bendis hates Dr. Strange, and it was embarrassing how he nerfed his power(and has continued to do so) in HoM

Bendis doesn't understand how to write characters who're capable of doing anything more than beating up ninjas or thugs. Dr. Strange's powers were far too complicated, so he had to be brought down to Spider-Man and Luke Cage's level.

Has anyone tried to help Hope harness and control her powers in any comic since Second Coming ended? You'd figure a mutant with the power to mimic anyone else's powers at Phoenix levels would be under heavy study and training.

That doesn't even appear to be her power anymore, as Gillen writes it.
But it's okay, because Gillen is the superwriter who's going to save Uncanny X-Men, right?

All the "Ooh, aah, Matt Fraction sucks and look how better Uncanny is since Kieron started co-writing it it'll be great once he takes over!" people.
They exist among us.

There were people saying the book got better during the story where the Sublime Corp gave everyone the flu and Dazzler & Pixie spent every issue saying "TIDY!" over and over?

I couldn't tell you. The only "power" she's really used is saving new mutants from their own powers. The last issue started to explore that she's somehow warping her team's perceptions of her into an unconditional love, which at least has an interesting premise for explanation.

![]() Does this really surprise you? General comic fan consensus is that Matt Fraction writes horrible comics, every single one.

Fraction is a good writer (I loved The Order and Immortal Iron Fist), but he couldn't handle the X-Men to save his life. He didn't know how to handle the cast of characters, half of his storylines felt phoned in, and he left plot holes everywhere. Mock me for the way I talked smack about Fraction all you want, but I still have an insanely long list of all the things wrong with "Sisterhood."

Yes. Yes you have. And you've been mocking people who complain about Fraction in general.

No, because Fraction's was not as bad as it's commonly made out to be. I'm not saying it was perfect, and I'm not saying he's a great X-Men writer, but so far we've taken a step down.

I dropped Fractions run multiple times hoping it would get better, but it didn't. So far i've liked Gilliens first arc, huge improvement for me.
