Gillen writes an awful Sinister. The only (slight) saving grace is that it's not quite really Sinister.

I really enjoyed this story. It's nice to see Sinister with a new MO besides his obsession with Scott's DNA. I'll have to reread this to get all of Sinister's plot but I love how Gillen handles all the characters, even if his Sinister is different. And speaking of which, at first I didn't really care for this particular line-up but I can totally see its benefit and Scott's reasoning for it. I'm just curious to see if using fear for their benefit is gonna come back later down the road and bite them in the ass.

Yeah I enjoyed that. I've actually decided to hang on a little longer to Legacy just to see how turns out. I'm sick of the "Rogue Show" but scenes like that remind me why I like the character.

Well, this was Carey's last issue on Legacy. Gage takes over now, so how he writes her should be a good barometer of whether or not people want to continue.

I loved Carey's Rogue when he wrote X-men v2 but hated the focus she got in Legacy. Hopefully things will be much different and it looks like they will be

Back to Uncanny, I love that Gillen has put Illyana on the main roster. Its always good seeing the underclassman like NM and Gen X "graduating" so to speak to the big leagues. She didnt get much to do this arc, but I hope he has some major plans for her in the upcoming year. No one really does anything interesting with her abilities these days as all we get to see is her yield the soulsword and maybe teleport here and there. Id love to see her utilize some spells and do some of the more complex teleporting techniques Blink recently displayed in NM. Some actual combat sequences would also be nice as opposed to us seeing her briefly in the background

So has Sinister based his hive mind constantly evolving self on the Phalanx?

Gillen probably couldn't tell you without making Sinister sound like a stupid putz again.

I really liked this issue good to see the Phalanx again. With return of Phalanx, Sinister, The Brood, Sabertooth and Krakoa seems like the writers are finally getting a chance to bring back underrated villains.

Good story from the point of view of the villain. X-Men losing another whole town of people. Between this and the town wiped out in Uncanny X-Force it shows the X-Men may save the world but alot of innocent folks die anyway.

Phalanx don't have much luck when it comes to being experimented on as Black Air did a Sinister as well

Really liked the issue, it has picked up a thread of Uncanny X-Force and explained to me why no one noticed lol. Plus the art in parts didn't bug me and Magneto's line to Betsy was priceless. Although Hope flirting with Namor was just wrong.

It was kinda gross, but totally makes sense. She's a seventeen year old girl who hasn't had any romantic contact/experience (I assume). He's the dark, mysterious, bad boy "with perfect abs" she's probably thought about doing naughty things to. I just wish Land (and many artists for that matter) wouldn't draw her so mature. Her face/body looks like she could be Emma, and not just because Land uses the same model for all his women. I liked how Todson drew her.

I also agree, good issue. At first I was worried that it was going to be another fight issue with little character stuff, but then they broke into teams and we got to see a little bit of everyone fleshed out.

I loved the issue and how it picked up on UXF. The stuff with Psylocke was great. The timeine seems off though bc UXF 14 just happened yesterday? WTH? I know I should just ignore it and now even try to figure this all out

I like the fact that the x-men split and no matter what deep down they're still friends/family. No matter what Scott says I know he'd b at that school in a heartbeat if they really needed him. AVX kind of suggests what I'm saying.
