I would it if that happened

Wow, that scene was even more homoerotic than usual for them.

Read it at lunch. Not bad. Not bad.

Who's Damian's friend in Gotham, though? Abuse? I wouldn't characterize his relationship with Dick as "friendship," really...

Just the first couple arcs. Lost interest.

Then you really can't say that you wouldn't characterize Damian's relationship with Dick as "friendly." One of the major points of Morrison's Batman run is to show how much Damian has progressed as a character from a brat with a sense of entitlement, to a kid that Dick was essentially forced to take care of due to his father's "death", to a kid who genuinely loves Dick.

As a matter in fact his relationship with his brother is much closer than his relationship with his father.

This kinda makes me wanna read all of B&R, just to see that progression.

Uh, yeah, which is why I wouldn't consider their relationship to be what I would call "friendship." They're much closer, like a mentor/student relationship or even a brotherly one.

Geez, you guys don't have to assume I'm belittling Damian all the time. I've scaled it back to like 80% of the time.

But his only "friends" are Dick and Alfred. Stephanie and Tim don't like him. He hasn't really met Cassandra. The Teen Titans asides from Ravager didn't like him. So while his relationship with Dick really isn't a friendship, he's the only one who provides him the role of friend that he needs.

Abuse is supposed to be Damian's friend. There was a whole arc about it in Streets of Gotham.

Static's got a series coming out soon, I believe. It's gonna be written by Felecia Henderson, formerly of Teen Titans.
Thank you.
(aside) DC should be ashamed of itself - IMHO for all that he did for their company, they jerked Mr. D. McDuffie and his characters around - now the guy is gone before they could do right by him.

At least there is a chance that they will treat one of his characters correctly.

Well,...
Wonder gurls about to get her butt kicked,..
The Titans are off their game,
New character on the way in,
Rose probably on the way out,
Gar and Kid Flash out of character.

Looks like a jumping on point to me,..

They pretend to not like each other but in reality she's like his older sister.

I was starting to like her. She and Damian were the only good things about the book. I mean her arc as a leader and Damian's trying to fit in. And then BOOM "OMFG Tim you are so awesome". I mean he deserves to be back but they should have kept WG as the leader, even for a while. Eh, i'm done with this book. RR was bad enough, i dont need another book where a bunch of teenagers praise their lord Tim Drake.

Why not all the heroes use to praise Bruce "God" Wayne it was only a matter of time they started to praise his second coming.

A lot of that has to do with Stephanie pitting Damian over the fact that he has no childhood. But in the end, she still thinks of him as an arrogant brat like everyone else does.

Wonder Girl was a terrible leader, and deep down she knew that. It's good that she stepped down for the sake of the team in favor of the far more competent Tim Drake.

Dick thinks the same because Damian really is a brat, but i think they like him. Steph and Damian came to a truce in BG #7 and they re more like squabbling siblings now. Read the rest of the issue before she takes pity on him. They are poking fun at each other. I mean i see no hostility or disdain here:

or here:

I think she was supposed to be bad so that she would grow into it. If she just came and owned it it wouldnt be interesting. Or i dunno maybe they wanted her to suck so that Tim would come back triumphantly.

Yikes, that scan reminds me of just how little sense Steph's hair conversation made. Damian's hair is cropped so short he might as well be covering his head entirely. Same with Dick most of the time, and Tim. It just...it makes no sense.

Though frankly, most of the time I don't see the hair thing as that big a liability for martial artists compared to strapping freaking shower curtains to their backs and going around fighting people.
