Just seen the spidey/care theif clip. Brilliant. He does a good job with that does Mr Garfield :-)

I just saw Death of a Salesman, and Andrew was f***ing phenomenal (everyone was great in it). He was also the nicest one of the cast at the stage door, too, the only one who took the time to sign every single autograph asked for (though Franz Kranz was pretty awesome too. Both seemed like super nice guys).

Also, I got to mention my love of his performance Boy A to him, which was great because based on his reaction, it seemed like he didn't hear that often.

Andrew is a great actor, but there's no way he'll even be considered for an Oscar nomination for TASM.

Even with being a great actor, it's very rare to get a nod for one of the bigger awards for a CBM. Ledger got one, and a lot of people say it only happened because he passed away. I'm not gonna go into that, but it is VERY rare for an actor to be nominated for the bigger type of awards for a CBM. HIGHLY doubt it'll happen. If that was the case, what happened to the nominations for RDJ or Christian Bale?

He didn't get nominated for an Oscar with the Social Network, he should have, but he didn't.

No, I can't see into the future, thus I have no proof, but history would indicate that it would be highly unlikely for him to get an Oscar nomination from a super hero movie. Especially in the lead actor category.

Yeah, no way that Andrew will get an Oscar nomination for TASM. These nominations just don't happen for super hero movies unfortunately.
But I am confident he'll get an nomination for any other movie he will do in the future of his (hopefully) long career.

It's simply being delusional to think Garfield will be nominated for his work on TAS-M. CBMs just don't get that kind of recognition, and if they did, there would've been past nominations for RDJ, Bale or even Fassbender for First Class.

I have to agree with everyone saying it is unlikely for him to get nominated. Like other people have said, RDJ never got nominated and Bale never got nominated. Also RDJ, Bale, and AG are all in big CBM's this year, so he has competition in the super hero category alone.

For Batman Begins, Bale's performance as Bruce Wayne was by far the most extraordinary performance I have seen for that character and of course Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark and pretty much improving the first Iron Man film. Also, Michael Fassbender was an amazing Magneto and carried First Class on his back with his portrayal.

Plus...do you think Andrew Garfield will be THAT great for an Oscar? Lol.
