I don't think he used brain damage to explain away his trauma, more that it caused his erratic mood swings and blocked him from accessing or dealing with any of his emotions.

Kelly's was more straight forward, better story but the jokes and dialogue in that sense felt forced in my opinion. You know what it reminds me of? The Red Dward dilemma. If you don't know it, a great sci fi comedy series from England, made by these two guys, Grant and Naylor. They wrote a couple of awesome books, hilarious but really good stories, but then they split up after the second book and did this thing where they each wrote a different version of what the 3rd book should be. What you ended up with was one book with an awesome story but was fairly serious and one book with a fairly simple, not too complicated story but hilarious. They were both good, but just very different in style. That's pretty much how I view Kelly and Nicieza. I'd love to see them collaborate on a title, that would rock.

Yea but i didn't like that the brain damage caused his erratic behaviour and mood swings. I preferred it when Deadpool was just manically bi-polar and sociopathic.

And i disagree about the forced comedy thing. Nicieza's seemed much more forced to me. The whole Bea Arthur thing was basically just a meme that he kept trotting out. And the chimichanga thing. Yea they are funny, but constantly using them?

Kelly's was more acidic, more spiteful. I remember an issue where Deadpool and Monty went to Monte Carlo and Deadpool disguised himself as Ricardo Montalban and he was just constantly abusing people. And who can forget issue 11 when he and Al went back in time to the swinging 60s and disguised themselves as Peter Parker and Aunt May? Comedic genius.

I do think Nicieza's series was funny though. Issue 13, A Murder in Paradise. The spoof of those film noir detective stories stands out as memorable.

And yea Red Dwarf is legendary! Haven't watched it in years though.

Amazing Spider-man #611 (I think) was one of the most enjoyable Deadpool stories in a while. It wasn't exactly a team-up, but it was fun as hell.

Or just Cable and DP, you know, since they're already the same property...

That would be pretty amazing to see on the screen in a few years. If Cable's introduced in an X-men film to the audience, maybe a second or third Deadpool movie could involve Wade teaming with Nathan.

You know, if Marvel Studios actually owned the X-Men rights, you just KNOW thats exactly what they would work towards.

Yeah, one or two. I just wouldn't want to see Rorschach and Deadpool in a movie lol. I'd still see it, however, but I would rather see Deadpool team-up with Cable or another marvel character.

Ahhh right. lol. Yea i agree. I think Parker Wayne was just joking. It would be a pretty funny one shot comic though.

I'd like to see a team up with Bullseye too. Or Taskmaster.

No Spidey and Deadpool. Weren't we just bagging on Daniel Way's approach to making Deadpool just a funny character? So putting the two, quipping wisecracking characters together wouldn't be repetive and a lame dynamic? It would essentially just be Two and a half men (probably literally half a man though, i'm thinking upper torso)

Yea, the thing that made Cable and Deadpool so awesome was the dynamic. They were like the Riggs and Murtagh of the Marvel Universe.

Yeah, it was funny, but lacked all of the additional depth of character that we just established Pool needs. A movie on that comic whilst funny, would do none of that and be a disservice to the character if he so quickly gets reduced to the comic relief.

I doubt a Spidey/Deadpool movie would ever made. Though, I'm sure a cameo could happen once Marvel gets the rights back. *waits 30 years until Marvel gets the X-Men & Spider-Man rights* Yes! One step closer!
