I'd love to see Adam McKay (Step Brothers, The Other Guys) do a comedic Super Friends movie. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would cringe at the thought of a humorous DC movie featuring big guys, but I say why not? I think it would be great to do both a serious JL and a humorous SF. I have a feeling a truly funny Super Friends movie could be a huge hit.

Thanks, you get the humor! Although like you I rather like Optimus_Prime’s comedy take on the characters too – and for e.g. casting (India) Indian Jay Chandrasekhar for the obviously (Native American) Apace Chief part, is just outrageous fun on his part.

Although I’m torn; when they asked the infamous William Dozier producer of the Live Batman TV show - Why he only cast straight dramatic actors for the parts rather than the more obvious comedians? He famously replied .

– “There’s no room for a comedian in this show at all, if a comedian tried to do these parts it’d go right out the window, because they would be trying to be funny, they would be mugging and doing their little comedy shticks to get laughs. And that’s not the way you get laughs here, you get laughs if they’re there, by just playing it straight and overdoing the straightness.”

Which was more my take on the cast. Although I love imagining both. The whole idea is just outrageous fun.

I have watched it and i love it. That's why i know that his Canary pic is Joe in Supernatural.
That said, i wouldnt cast Ackles as Hal but i might cast Padalecki as Hawkman.

Welling is better than Ruth who put most people who tried to watch Superman returns to sleep. He sucked on Chuck and he looks ridiculous in the trailer for his new movie. My Batman pick is fine. Anyone reasonably athletic could play Batman or any other hero that has his head covered in a mask or cowl. I was thinking of a young justice League cast when I put that together so I wouldn't expect to see Bruce wayne much but I think a slighty more mature version of his character from the early years of OTH would be perfect for the spoiled millionaire playboy that Bruce is suposed to be to keep people from guessing he's batman.
