They could totally start a classic playlist with the forge world remakes b.net made.

Anywayys Highlands is friggin gorgeous and Unearthed is the best FF map. These are the kinds of maps the game should have shipped with.

There's no defiant playlist yet, I ran around them in custom games and played Unearthed in score attack.

I honestly don't want forge world stuff, I want classic maps like the Pit and whatnot brought over to Reach. I'd love to be able to use the new armor abilities in those maps... not a nurtured "classic" mode play style.

As for the new maps, I won't be buying them. I seriously hated the last map pack and no one on my friends list bought them either, I'll wait until they're free.

The new ones? I didn't buy them yet (I know I said I wouldn't, but I flip flop... ) but if you can't play Slayer with them then no... I won't buy them.

i'm still paying off stuff... so i'll not be getting these three maps for now....

Waiting to see what this rumoured 'Classic' set up will be... Reach-ified maps or just recreated map layouts on Forge-world...

What are you guys talking about? They are integrated into Slayer and other playlists. Theres just no Defiant playlist.

Also, this is so much better than the noble map pack. These aren't rehashes of campaign missions, these are awesomely designed based on the Fall of Reach fiction. Really awesomely designed.

This is straight from bungie's weekly update. They are making basically a halo 3 playlist in reach with no abilities. I mean, it doesn't say there that there are no abilities... just kind of known I guess. That is why player movement and such is being altered so it is faster again so abilities aren't needed as much.

Kinda dumb.

Well also those are the stats from Halo 3. Halo 3 spartans were more superpowered. You should listen to the Bungiepodcast from the Beta, they really interestingly explain all the subtle differences between Halo 3 and Reach with the controls and player stats

I know the Halo 3 Spartans are more powerful... but still. I could easily just pop Halo 3 back in if I wanted to play a Halo game sans armor abilities.

Yeah, but this way, you get Reach weapons and it goes towards your reach levelling up. It's no big deal since it's going to be free anyway.

Also, they haven't elaborated on that much at all, for all you know there will be gametypes with armour abilities. If it's free, why be picky? Bungie gives away so much awesome free updates and content, they would have to be one of the most dedicated devs when it comes to keeping the gaming community alive.

I love whenever I get one and it shows me all the new updates and changes they've made. It's nice to see them make such a strong effort to fix things that I don't mind paying for new maps considering how much they do in other fields.

Yeah, me neither. For every amount of paid content, there ends up being about twice as much free. I was looking at all the playlists and gametypes the other day and just marvelling how much it's grown since launch week. In less than a year and they've tripled whats on offer for multiplayer options. Truly dedicated.

What sucks is these new maps can't be played on slayer 4 vs 4,it has to be played on big team battles only.Team Slayer in Halo 3 was much funner than Reach because you had warthogs,the spartan's laser cannon,etc.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else feel like the replay-ability just isn't there for Reach like there was with HALO 3? I mean, I bought both the Noble and Defiant Map Packs, and I find myself just being dominated to the point that I don't even want to play anymore. I guess that I could just adjust the search criteria to put me in a lobby with people that are around my rank, but how else would I get any better? I don't know, it just sucks that I'm not any better. I want to get better at MP, but I'm just having a hard time with it.

Also, does anyone else miss the Battle Rifle? I like the DMR, but I think that I like the BR just a little better.

funny you say that coz I actually stopped playing Halo 3 since everyone stuck to the battle rifle and I died too much since it always came down to whoever shoots first wins.

anyways looks like I was right about the classic map forge world remakes being in the playlist hahah I gotta try that out later.
