The most effective way to control the masses is to control the flow of information. Thus, shut down the internet.

Yes, true. It's only one means of communication. But, if they control it, they control the dissemination of information. Same reason China blocks Facebook and twitter. The more you can learn, the harder it is to control you.

In the case of Egypt, they are trying to control the lines of communication to deflect protests from organizing.

Congratulations to Kel for being the previous thread's 'winner'. She has now created the new lounge.

Jesus christ this thread's post timing is all wonky. Like a Chris Nolan film or something.

I see Mirko has throw himself upon his sword, assuming blame for threadmanager , thus absolving any other mods of blame

We had no input or idea about it. The previous announcement suggested that we did...which was completely wrong.

Well, honestly, all the mods found out the same time the posters did....and were just as angry, actually more angry because is one big mess....and we don't know how much worse it will get. I'm just waiting for all hell to break loose in the Batman Forum, over one pic from the set.

I would say that we were more upset because of having to clean it all up and fend off unnecessary blame. I shudder to think of the Batman forums when ANYTHING is released about TDKR. You will literally see 'FIRST PICTURE OF HATHAWAY AS CATWOMAN - Part 62'.

If we aren't careful, this may happen one day...

If this were to happen to me, wonder what the police would say to my American Flag/USA tattoo.

Why would it be witty? It's deadly serious. It's for a contest, V for Victory? At infowars site. It's pretty good.

I had an article I wrote accepted by the Ludwig von Mises Institute for their Daily Blog tomorrow. The Mises Institute is the largest source of scholarship for Austrian Economics in the world.
