Good to hear its confirmed, now I hope he gets to work asap as I dont want another rush-job like IM2 was, hopefully we get a 3rd movie that isnt the worst in the franchise for once.

This is the best news ever. I'm calling it right now, this is going to be the best Iron Man, no the best Marvel movie to date.

Hopefully by comic-con they'll have a quick tease with them being at the panel showing some concept art and introducing the actor that's playing Mandarin.

Yeah that's true, now that I'm thinking about they probably won't hire the villain until October-November.

But I'm crossing my fingers for something at comiccon like Favs in '06.

That's one of my favorite Robert Downey Jr roles and Kilmer is awesome too. I reccomend anyone that likes RDJ should give it a chance if you haven't already.

Not to knock favs but this might be the best move Marvel has made with the franchise... don't get me wrong I LOVE 1 and 2 was Good but the one thing it lacked was the action where I think Black will definitly Nail... I'm very happy with this choice

I'm very happy with the news Shane's writing and directing. Iron Man seems like a character fitted for his style and he knows how to deliver good writing and good Action. While I'll miss Jon directing, I feel very comfortable knowing IM3 is in Shane's hands.

The original Predator is one of my favorite movies, so yes, I knew this. Get to the choppah!

Well, that was a long time ago, and when Favs was involved. I do wonder if Black will have free reign over writing the script as well as directing it. If so, I'd say the villain is up in the air. I would sure hate for the Ten Rings setup to be wasted though.

I also love that movie. Greatest guy movie ever. So damn quotable loved when Bill Duke told Dillon he was gonna make him bleed.
