They are! Sort of...it's shutting down on April 19 for three weeks while they re-write the entire show. Apparently they're ditching the entire second act. That's never a good sign.

I'm seeing it next week, just for pure "I need to see this train wreck" purposes. The envelope my tickets came in actually has an ad for the Red Cross on it. That's probably not a good sign either.

The entire second act? Dear god.

No...I can't imagine that's a good sign.

Well yeah, I know they're in it now. My concern was that they would leave before I see it in July.

I'm not sure I could sit through a Les Miz show featuring a JoBro as Marius.

Good God, why can't they just put Spidey out of his misery? Throwing out the entire second act? Stop sinking even more money into this thing! They will NEVER get it back.

Now that they got rid of Taymore, I'm actually really looking forward to the show. Now if only they could get rid of Bono and the Edge.

I love U2...but I haven't been impressed with any of the songs I've heard from Spidey so far.

They should still be there in July.

He actually played Gavroche on Broadway a few years back. He's in one of my Les Miz playbills (as "Nicholas Jonas"), but according to my ticket stub and the kids' schedules in the playbill, he wasn't on the night I saw it. I had no idea he was in it until recently.

He's got a decent enough voice...but the songs were just way too big for him. It looked like the music was going to eat him alive.

I can't even imagine. I mean, I've heard them perform on talk shows, and they had such weak voices. I don't know which one Nick is, but if he's one of the ones who sings lead in the JoBros songs, then yeah, I can't imagine his voice being even close to big enough for that music.

Wow...I actually found a clip from the very first Broadway show I ever saw, which I also have a frightening suspicion was before most of you were born.

It's Sandy Duncan as Peter Pan! According to my Playbill (which I still have!), I saw it in February 1980. I was in kindergarten, my mom let me skip school to go to the matinee, and a theater junkie was born.

I remember being like at all of the flying.

Lol, that's awesome! And don't worry, people around here make me feel old all the time. So on that note, thanks for making me feel young again, danoyse.

My first Broadway show was in 2003, The Boy From Oz. I was SO hooked after that.

I hate to say it but...you saw Sandy Duncan as Peter Pan before I was before.

Book of Mormon opened tonight to rave reviews. Danny, you better get your tickets now because it will win the Tony and it'll be even harder to get tickets!

Got tickets for June 4!

Got tickets for my sister and brother-in-law too, since it's their anniversary that week. Isn't that nice? I got them an anniversary present that requires that they take me along with them.

I just read a few of the reviews for The Book of Mormon.

I need to see that show, now.

I don't have any plans to be in New York soon, so I just have to hope it has a long healthy run. Because that show sounds amazing from the reviews.
