I'll concede to the Heroes for Hire movie first if it in anyway resembles this....

Well Feige did say the Iron Fist movie would take part of Bru and Fraction's run on Immortal Iron Fist. So that was great to hear....For K'un-Lun it would have to be Tibet, seeing as how it's in the Himalayan Mountain range. Not to mention there are some points of interests that could be established in the movie, Bridge of Destiny, Cave of the Dragon, Central Hall of Ancestors, Tree of Immortality, Gate of Heaven and Garden of the P'an-T'ao just to name a few, K'un-Lun really as what it takes to be stunning visually:

Just loooooads of potential when you think of an Iron Fist movie. His origin is a great origin and now with the legacy aspect added to the character it makes it even richer. An Iron Fist movie has everything to make it a truely compelling action/adventure, done right can you guys imagine seeing the epicness of Danny vs. Shou-Lao and how Danny obtains the power of the Iron Fist? With today's technology/special effects? There could even be a scene where Danny is told of the Iron Fists that came before him as he's training with Lei Kung and a quick glimpse of them is shown. Don't even get me started on the Immortal Weapons, the thought of seeing them on the big screen with Iron Fist is really exciting.

All in all it's for certain Iron Fist has franchise potential written all over it.

I'm sorry, but I'm seeing some mentions of of doing an Inhumans movie, and I think it would turn out to be a poor man's X-Men. Let's use the MCU wisely

Inhumans are an alien monarchy. How would it be anything like X-Men?

It's just that they don't have "general public" appeal. Sure, you and I are fans, they are not excactly household names, like x-men. FF, spidey, Iron man, etc

Iron Man and Thor didn't have general public appeal. They were B-Listers, at best.

I think the idea of an Alien Royal family where the King can level mountains with a mere whisper could be pretty popular.

Dude, with the exception of First Class, for the last few years The X-Men have been like a poor man's X-Men.

Also, your approach to only adapt 'well known's' is pretty much the Fox approach. Secondary, supporting characters IS using the MCU wisely. That IS the MCU. So many characters like the Inhumans, Atlantians, Wakanda, they are the backbone of the MCU. They're the places and people who set the MCU apart from just being another NY city based super hero universe.

Here's another director who's name I think should be tossed into the hat: Neil Burger

I very much liked both The Illusionist & Limitless.

It's very probably a long ways off, if it even happens at all.

You have to think like a guy that's going to get people to invest in, and put your life on hold for (the producer), a high budget movie, and stop thinking like a fanboy. Let them go through the A list first, and then get into these other entities/teams your talking about later.
Go ask the average guy on the street who Captain America is, then ask them who Black Bolt is - "Black Who?"
And WolvieBoy - the X-Men series of movies, on average, have been the best of any SH series, with X2 being in my top 3

You're the one thinking like a fanboy now, MucasMan. You're assuming that because people don't know who these characters are then the movie wouldn't do well? How about applying that same knowledge to ANY comic adaptation based on an unfamiliar comic. What about Kick Ass? That movie had only just finished being written. People will make their mind up on the plot and quality of a movie and how it is marketed, not whether it's familiar or not.

And yes, X2 was a great movie, and I loved X1 too..... but it kinda went downhill, didn't it?

I agree that these days they can make a great movie from any character so long as they put effort into it and believe in what they are making no matter how absurd it might be.

If you've got a hard to swallow concept like Thor or Namor and treat it as a joke because you have no confidence as a filmmaker you'll end up with trash like Ghost Rider.

Feige basically confirmed we would be:

Quote:
The Iron Fist script is based, in part on the Brian Michael Bendis / Matt Fraction series.

Feige writes: "[T]he movie is definitely inspired by that great run."
They made a mistake in saying Bendis instead of Brubaker, but regardless it's awesome the movie will take in part of their Immortal Iron Fist run.

Character recognisability is completely irrelevent. Doesn't matter if they are A list or Z list.

You make a character recognisable by making a great movie about them.

There is such a wealth of awesome available in that run, really awesome arcs, great supporting characters, stunning imagery, great storytelling, if we are lucky we might get word on the status of this by this July's ComicCon.

Does anyone know if we're going to get a full lineup announcement like we did in 2008, or just announcements for 2013?
