Any ideas what Phase II will be called?
Right now the Phase I box set carries the subtitle 'Avengers Assembled'
as seen in promotional material like this

or this

not knowing anything specific about phase II yet, what would your subtitles be? or what do you think it will be?

Maybe something hinting at Carol Danvers....maybe Mayimbe's hand signal wasn't Jay Z/diamond related after all, but a vagina, as some theorized.

Seriously though, I could see that being a clue toward Danvers. Perhaps she is going to be cast in the GOTG film. Wasn't there a rumor floating around about GOTG casting that would not be Star Lord coming soon? Could be that they wanted to cast Carol early as she is going to be in GOTG but also because she will make appearances in SHIELD.

I think that's a very good guess.

I really think the best place to debut Ms. Marvel would be in GOTG. It would mean that Carol would have to hog some of the spotlight from the Guardians themselves, but it could work. If Carol and Peter both were astronauts or "space-fighters" for S.W.O.R.D. (set up in the wake of the alien invasion in Avengers), then both could be unwittingly thrown into whatever scenario drags them into the space opera that is GOTG. Then, at some point, Carol gets separated from Quill, meets Mar-Vell who gives her powers by the time the movie's climax comes around, and BAM! --- Ms. Marvel is now available for Avengers 2.

Yeah, it changes up Carol's origin story somewhat, but Mar-Vell's "alien in disguise on Earth" was pretty tired and hokey to begin with. Flipping the origin to have Carol meet Mar-Vell in *his* element instead of vice versa makes it more interesting. And a lot simpler and easier to follow.

Thats a pretty sound theory. It just makes sense that they need to tie the GOTG to earth or at the very least to the rest of the MCU.

Having SHIELD involved in someway would be the best guess and why Danvers as part of that.

The only reason I wouldn't go with SWORD is simply because SHIELD has already been setup in the MCU so those new to the franchise wouldn't have to do anymore homework.

I'd just make SWORD a branch of SHIELD that deals specifically with interplanetary/interdimensional threats. The acronyms play off each other, anyway: "SWORD and SHIELD."

Why, exactly, would you want to throw away the by-far most successful characterization of the Hulk yet?

Honestly, I think even that is unnecessary. Thor already established that SHIELD handles potential extraterrestrial situations, no reason they can't continue to do so.

Why is it that the Deep Space Armor toy looks just like the uniforms Gamora and Quill wear on the cover of the new GOTG comic, but Tony's "deep space armor" on that cover looks like Sunfire....? :scratchscratch

In that same vein: I hope to god the Guardians don't dress up like Imperial stormtroopers. GOTG #1 cover sucks ass.

If you've read the Planet Hulk story then you'd see that the Hulk's character (and not Banner but Hulk) evolved so much, so if they were to translate that evolution to the film it would be great. Plus let's be honest the general public only cares about the Hulk not Bruce Banner

This is my longer drawn out happening for Hulk
"From the way Joss talks about A2 being the movie that basically brings down all the superheroes I'm hoping it goes like this:
Beginning of Avengers 2 we see Hulk being a superhero then in the middle Thanos comes in starts wrecking everything then using some ability to mind control Hulk into fighting the team and possibly killing people which then leads to IM, Strange, Fury, and the Council of 12 to come to the tough decision of shooting Hulk into space to stop his rampage because they weren't able to defeat Thanos therefore leaving the Hulk still under his control but in the hands of the team and this decision could be the thing that Joss was hinting at that would shake up the team and leave them feeling defeated (along with them actually being defeated by Thanos)
Then start TIH with a 15 min recap of the Hulk storyline from A2 then lead right in to Planet Hulk and then they could explain Hulk never turning back into Banner by basically having him feel betrayed by his so called friends and he feels like it's puny Banner's fault for trusting them and therefore by not reverting back to Banner he doesn't have to worry about that
That way it would all tie in together, the audience would get a sense of Hulk being a hero in A2 and it wouldn't be too much stretch of the imagination that Hulk under the influence of Thanos loses control and destroys everything because we already saw in A1 that Hulk could lose control at any time"

Yes....but it looks *more* like standard USAF insignia on a fighter jet, along with the little triangular warning placard in that same picture.

It's a US fighter jet. Trust me.

It actually reminded me of the shirt Cap was wearing when he woke up at the end of CA:TFA.

I know that it's from a real life fighter jet I'm just commenting on the insignia. It could go either way.
