The First EPIC ACTION Scene: Cuba attack

On another topic we were discussing if X3 final battle was epic or not...

but lets forget about X3 and lets center our discussion on First Class, specially on what appears to be the first real EPIC battle of the whole franchise.

Looks more epic then anything else weve seen in the X flicks imo. But then again Magneto usually gets one epic moment every X trailer. Theres alot going on here so that will change the scope. Cant wait to see some one on one fights. Emma Vs Charles should be interesting.

The exciting thing about this scene is that we havent seen yet all the fights there will be.

Magneto and Xavier are there, Beast is there, Banshee too....

and we know what happens to the xbird.

I have the feeling it will be a long battle, a long war battle!!

Wasnt there some storyboards out that showed Riptide and Havok fighting on the Beach? I could be mistaken.

Ok, so from what we know, will be there:

Magneto
Xavier
Beast
Banshee
Havok
Riptide

and probably the whole xteam (Mystique, Darwin and Angel) and the main Hellfire Club members.

Looks like itts gonna be another epic Magneto moment, which is always good.

I am just interested into see what exacatly is going on, a scooper on her who was on the set said that Azazel was there doing damage and also the storyboard with Riptide, but at the same time the X-men are being attacked by the Army it seems, so really interesting to see whats exaclty going on, regardless looks ****ing sweet.

I think it will be much more than just a Magneto moment.

It will be a big battle, and not just mutants vs mutans, or the x-men vs the Hellfire Club.

If Havok is really there, we cant forget all the destruction he could create alone!

I know it's just a storyboard but the face looks older, almost like Magnetos face. But the suit does look like it has the Havoc logo like we saw in the leaked photo of the cast

Let's see... Wolverine's selflessness at the end of X-Men seems heroically epic, considering that he could have flown well over the torch and might have not survived transferring his power to Rogue, Jean's self-sacrifice at the end of X2 was also epic in the heroic sense (for reasons that should be apparent), and the final battle between Magneto's forces, the X-Men, and the human military was surely epic in the size and scale of it (as most superheroic battles, even those involving teams, are typically very small and intimate in scale).

This scene also seems to be going with the fourth definition, but it's certainly not the first "epic battle" in the franchise.

All the X-Men movies have had their moments of awe and grandiosity in terms of power display or battles.

Again the buildup will be key to this scene. Large scale battles can cause disassociation with the audiences and some of the characters but Vaughn is great like that he knows how to infuse these important character moments with the action scenes themselves.

So excited to see this battle. Really like the setting its taking place in.

Maybe he meant "first" as in it's a prequel so this particular battle predates the others chronologically?

I doubt that, but that would be the only way this is the first. In that case, this would also be the first movie in the franchise.

I chalked it up to typical fan willful ignorance of past movies in light of the shiny new one and a chronic misuse and misunderstanding of a word.

but at the same time, this could be the first battle Xavier and his team have in their lives.

Can't wait to hear him scream underwater. The scientist in me knows that sound travels better underwater and would make him more powerful, but the immature ass in me wants to hear him gargle real loud.
