1) What does that have to do with gay rights?

2) Was Timothy McVeigh a Muslim?

3) This guy is a dumb ass.

Wow, I don't know how that happened, but this is definitely the wrong thread. My bad!

I don't think Whoopie and Joy should have walked off stage like that. I don't agree with O'Reily and his stupid comment but Whoopie and Joy are the co-hosts of the show. I agreed 100% with what Barbara said after they walked off.

Wasn't there a mosque or a religious prayer room or something like that inside the top of twin towers before the attack anyway, and they're been mosques around the buildings after the 1993 bombing, so this only becomes an issue when pundits on conservative networks bring it up, otherwise half the people talking about this wouldn't even think about the issue.

Showed why Barara is the professional....she got him to apologize and clarify his statement without screaming, shouting, or cursing....plus stayed on the job until it was done.

That is why SHE is the journalist/interviewer and THEY are the comedians. They should have never quite their night jobs....

Truth be told.....Barbara and Bill respect the hell out of each other, and have both said as much. It showed....

Behar can quit her night job...and day job....she's not funny, just abrasive, loud, rude, and obnoxious.

Here's the thing..... IMO, Whoopi seemed passionate, she has been on Bill's show, they get a long great. So for her to have walked off, I do believe that she was upset with what he said. Behar hates the man, with a passion, usually won't even sit next to him when he's on the show......her walking off the stage was pure drama and ********.

The terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 were male. They were adults. They were fundamental extremists. And they were also Muslim. Deal with it.
I'm pretty anti-PC, but O'Reilly wasn't trying to be "factual", he was being provocative. He was the one picking a fight. He has no problem using adjectives when talking about "ultra liberals" or the "extreme left", but here he just wants to use words in their broadest sense. And I really don't think that it's a secret that deep down he doesn't like Muslims.

Also, this whole mosque issue is very PC. We don't want to be insensitive to the people who died there, or their families. Well, boo-hoo. It's their right to build there, so deal with it.

Who? Everyone seems to be discussing quite respectfully....NOW, they may not agree with you, and state that, or state why.....but no one is trying to pick a fight.

There is also a muslim prayer room in the Pentagon...how many times have you heard about that being an 'issue'? None.

We have a student that is Muslim in our school, he goes into one of our Science storerooms to pray.

I don't really think that is the issue...at least not with me.

Just curious. Is there also a prayer room for other religions in there too?

There is no "Muslim" prayer room in the Pentagon, according to Army spokesman George Wright. There is a chapel inside the Pentagon where Muslim employees can go to pray, as ABC News recently reported. It’s just not exclusive to followers of Islam.

Quote:
Sometimes misidentified as the "Pentagon Mosque," the non-denominational Pentagon Memorial Chapel maintained by the Pentagon Chaplain's Office is where department employees who practice Islam can meet to pray.

The 100-seat chapel is available to Pentagon employees of all faiths to come in prayer as they wish throughout the day. The Pentagon Chaplain's Office schedules weekly religious services in the chapel for Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Protestants and Episcopalians, as well as a daily Catholic Mass. Muslim worshippers can gather daily to offer prayers and can attend a Friday Prayer Service led by an Imam.
It is the prayer room that was built on the site of the 9/11 plane crash and is in honor of those killed that day.

Probably so, but if they knew they couldn't stand what he said before and makes in similar fashion regularly, why was he ever invited on the show in the first place?

Every night Joyce Behar criticizes Fox News on her CNN show. It's easy to cause controversy on a show, especially like one on the view with options to bring on a cache of celebrities and pundits from both sides. This happens so much regularly because the its planned. It's one of the easiest and oldest tricks to gain a quick boost of ratings out there, especially when each of the hosts has many friends in the media.

On a related note, Canada's most right-wing big city just elected the country's first ever Muslim big city mayor.

I had no idea they were this far along. After they finish topping the tower off, how long will it take for it to become fully functional?
