dont know if some of you have commented it..
but one of the main reasons Jennifer doesnt look as hot as Mystique is because her structure isnt the same as Rebecca, so all the blue makeup and the scales, etc creates an effect on us where we mainly see her estructure (including around her eyes) and again, her structure alone isnt as strong as Rebecca's one. Women can look really sexy with a great haircut and good normal makeup, but the Mystique's makeup isnt the same for each woman.

Wow, I haven't posted in years, but I've been here quietly lurking. Anyway, I'm back in this now. Can't help it.
Wanted to say, Can we PLEASE talk about Emma's costume in this Empire photo. Oh yeah, I guess I should say, I'm now a wardrobe stylist in LA. So costuming is an obsession for me. Main questions: Is that a pair of shorts? A skirt? Where do the boots start/end? Any ideas? Thanks guys, feels good to be back!

i think this movie doesn't have "costumes", at least not in the way we think of it. it seems more like each X-Men character has a wardrobe, like flight suits and regular wear. and when Magneto goes evil, he finally makes an adequate suit for himself.
the hellfire guys wear suits and Emma goes through various outfits, which is a great way to introduce ridiculous outfits! when at the actual club, she wears jumpsuits and skanky outfits. then she goes out on a mission and it's like spywear from James Bond movies. |

Her Empire outfit looks like her New X-Men costume, but instead of the booty shorts she has a mini skirt on. Her boots even match the thigh-high ones she wore during the Morrison run. I don't really like the top because it looks like a normal bra but it's practical for her powers, in which exposing as much skin as possible is an advantage.

To be honest I was surprised by Emma's battle costume (the one in the cover). I thought she would wear leather and pants. But she still looks good.

There's a long and spoilery interview with McAvoy up over at IGN. I haven't read it cause I'm avoiding spoilers as much as I can.

I read the Interview.It confirms
Xavier will be crippled In First Class Xavier and Magneto do have falling out In First Class Xavier's only romance Is With Moira There Is non romantic triangle between Xavier,Mystique, and Magneto. The only notes from studio was for Xavier to have hair In First Class. They were originally going to have Mcavoy bald. There are so quotes about Magneto that are Intresting but way too spoily to mention here. While IGN calls First Class a franchise reboot Mcavoy says First Class Is prequel. With this Interview I think we can pretty much say the filmmakers are Indeed Ignoring The Last Stand like Wolverine despite Nicholas Hoult's comments about studying Kelsey Grammer's voice. |

This Interview Is another hint of throwing out The Last Stand.Moira defently didn't
speak as American. Let's also remember you have to critize matthew Vaughn for making Moira American. But,the minute we heard Moira as CIA Agent we should have suspected this. Moira could still open up a research on Muir Island In Sequels. While I would prefer the scotish Moira If we get a decent portrayl of her I will be happy. |

Oliver Platt (Man in Black)
Aimee - Here's the question we all want to know. Who exactly is the Man in Black? The Man In Black runs a super secret division of the CIA devoted to investigating the application of mental telepathy and paranormal power in military defense. He has long been a laughing stock of the Agency because of this. His department is known as 'Division X'. Ali - How does your character fit into the mutant universe? When Charles and Mystique become ensnared with the Agency, the Man in Black diverts them to his division with a deft bureaucratic sleight of hand. Erik soon joins them and The X-Men flourish under MIB's protection. Gregory - Were you a fan of the X-Men before making this movie? I became a fan of X-Men through the movies. Joshua - If you had a mutant power what would it be and why? If I had a mutant power it would be to plant ideas in powerful people's minds. Tirzah - What was your favorite part of making this movie? The best part of the movie was working with the cast; McAvoy, Fassbender, Jenn, Rose. Working with John Dykstra, one of the seminal figures of modern special effects. Hanging with my old buddy K Bacon in London even though we didn't get to work together. Denis - Are you a fan of comics or of comic-based movies? If so, which ones? Grew up with Superman, Batman, Green Hornet, Asterix (yes he's a superhero!!). Love the new Batman and Iron Man flicks. |

I hate these decisions they are taking about the nationality of Moira and Banshee.
Why do most of the characters have to be american??? another wrong decision, Matthew and Singer.

It is funny you have an Irish man and a Scottish man doing English accents for characters that are American and Polish and a American and Australian whos characters are Irish and Scottish in the comics are American. Not to mention Hoult who is English doing a American accent
Seems like he asked the actors whos characters already appeared in X-Men movies to continue in the accent other actors who portrayed them had with the exception of Moria who was played by Oliva Williams with her own English accent if I remember correctly.

You know, the problem I've been having with these movies since X2 is no focus on accents. One of the things that made me love X-Men was the fact they had characters from different cultures/parts of the world working together. It just feels like they are Americanizing everything because they think it'll make more money. At least they tried it with Storm and Rogue in X1 and had Nightcrawler with one in X2. I was really bummed that Colossus and Pyro did not have one and now, Moira and Banshee won't either.

every single thing I hear about this movie annoys me more and more.
how hard are accents to maintain? latest news is that the climactic battle between Xavier and Magneto is a fist fight... A fist fight. Outside of Magneto, i have ridiculously low expectations on this. But on the plus side, it should be very easy for this film to be better than I expect.

I have no problem with Charles and Erik going mano a mano instead of using their powers. The fact that they'd rather lay hands on one another makes the fight seem all that more personal.
Or maybe Erik is wearing his helmet to keep Charles out of his head and there's no metal nearby, so their only choice is a fist fight.

but still, c'moooooon
this is the goddam X-Men! if you wanna make some artsy little short film about xavier and magneto having a discussion, getting pissed, and duking it out, go ahead. But for a summer blockbuster, i wanna see magneto impale xavier with a damn railroad spike and then xavier unleashes a psychic s**tstorm...or sumthin like that

Maybe you'll get your wish and Erik & Charles will unleash all kinds of super-powered hell against the Hellfire Club.

I know I'm the first to jump on continuity errors in X-Men comics, but the makers of this movie openly said that this is a prequel where they're taking a few liberties with continuity in order to tell a good, less restricted story.
I'm just gonna roll with it and try not to make it seem like a big deal.

I kind of expected Moira to be American. I mean, she is a CIA agent. Nice, light interviews on both ends.

So, does anyone else think they'll have Magneto cripple Xavier like in Ultimate X-men?
