Essentially, I altered the belt, which I felt was the weakest part of the design. Along with making the shield around 10-11 % smaller and also altering the proportions a small amount. Finished off with removing the gold finish on the boots which I felt drew the eyes to it unnecessarily.

Full credit to the original artist is acknowledged, although I don't know who that is. If you recognise your work and are unhappy about me making alterations, please let me know and I will not post this again.

Hope you all enjoy the changes, I made. If not, tell me why. I'd be interested to hear.
It's perfect!

There will be no \S/ on the belt or the boot soles if Snyder is smart, unlike Singer...

I also would prefer no \S/ on belt. I do want an \S/ on the back of cape though. The boots? That seems to serve no purpose.

I agree. Not be a dick (well, not too much), but some manips shouldn't be put online if it looks bad. It's not helping anyone out.

At the same time I have an idea of imaging software. I've used adobe ps on paid projects before. Using freeware with limited tools and bad sensitivity, when your adobe is not available makes for a bad manip, but at least you can still get an idea across. Not making it for the artistic purpose in that case. See where I'm coming from?

I understand. However, if the execution is poor, the idea gets mangled, and the likeliness that people will like idea goes down.

I just figured I can do the mock up to get the idea across, then pass it on to someone with adobe like Majik who gets the idea, and completes what I currently can't do on freeware.

I agree...some manips don't need to be posted. The intention may be good but if the work is less than subpar...please save us

I get your point, just reiterating I do it to get the idea across, then I ask someone with adobe to make it. I thought it worked out well with majik making one based off of the freeware mock up

I get what you're saying...wasn't really directed at anyone in particular. Sorry if you took offense

No problem You are correct. What is more scary is people who post a crazy manip not knowing it is bad If you don't have a good PS program at least, the tools just aren't there on the freeware progs. Blending, color match, cloning, etc... Not always on the freeware stuff and those are a huge part of manip work.

Thanks for the kind comments.
I've decided on another couple of tweaks. This time I have brightened the image by around 30% (Superman is not a dark character after all) and the cape is a bit shorter. It seemed to me that Clark might have a bit of trouble tucking the cape into his trousers at the original length...

Anyway enjoy. As before full credit to the original artist is acknowledged.

Yes, not putting some S's must be a sign of intelligence.
