You should probably just put "I'm a screenwriter for WB, I swear." in your sig. Then you wouldn't have to mention it every single time you made a post.

Only in the threads where it matters as to knowledge about certain aspects of a company's workings or here as to show I could get close to it depending on this upcoming project they've shown interest in and the reason why I'm trying to gather this data. Everywhere else, one not pertaining to 'the biz' it doesn't come up.

Yeah, Hollywood is kinda nuts. Personally just see myself as just another form of court jester that's somehow able to make money off of entertaining people. Lots of people have a lot more noble professions. This is just what I do.

But, hey - if you have a problem with me PM me. If you don't believe me, hey I wouldn't believe me either but there I am. Now let's get back to topic and the question of what people would like to see from the comics be brought into the cinematic world, shall we?

Aquaman #8: still rolling along with top-notch artwork and an intriguing storyline.

I don't get the complaints about Mera's attitude. I like how she's being handled, and I look forward to seeing more stories that focus on her specifically, and how she copes with being different from other people. I want to see her develop. She should hook up with her new friend and try to buy some more dog food, but without destroying anything or getting arrested by the police. Maybe she can get some civilian clothes and attempt to blend in with the locals to try to understand them better.

The cover art looks awesome, as always. But once again, the cover doesn't accurately portray what happens in the book. The most infuriating part of this is that the story is really good. So, it's not as if they had nothing interesting enough to use for a great cover image. If, for whatever reason they cannot do that, then they should simply take the scene used for the cover and put that in the book.

The Prisoner finally revealed his special ability and it was a big surprise. He seems very powerful. Did the other Others not realize he was that powerful? Did even he know that he was that powerful? If they had, wouldn't they have just agreed to gather everyone around him in the first place? Very cool scene, but it was lacking a little extra elaboration that would've really made it shine.

Aside from that, I do like the quality and pace of the story...I'm not in a hurry to learn everything about Aquaman's background. Every issue is all about action, and that's the proper route to take. I've said before that I wanted more dialogue, and I feel that they can add a lot more dialogue to these issues without taking anything away from the action or the overall pacing. If not for spoken dialogue, then they can use more narrative dialogue boxes.

I'm satisfied with the overall quality of the book. However, every month I feel that I finish reading the book rather quickly...there's not enough content to satisfy the anticipation that's built up over the past month of waiting to see what would happen next. As a general rule, if I've finished reading the book before I'm off the toilet, then there's probably not enough dialogue.

You have bought a comics before right? Covers haven't meant much in a very long time.

The complaints stem from the fact that that's not Mera. Johns has shown his appreciation for the character by pretty much remaking her from the ground up. Of course, he has carte blanche to do that thanks to the Flashpoint reboot, but it tends to strike those of us who knew... um, anything about Mera before the reboot as a little off. She had some anger issues, sure, but she wasn't this crazed engine of destruction and surface world ignorance that Johns is portraying her as.

What are you trying to say? I know there are more generic covers these days, but most covers that I've seen still reflect what happens in the books.

I'd wager 9/10ths of the comic book covers put out by the big 2 have nothing to do with the issue or the images are misleading in some fashion.

I'm pretty sure Jimmy and Superman didn't murder each other quite as many times as the covers would suggest either

Though they probably still killed each other quite a lot because that silver age Superman was a lunatic

I agree with you.....this book is very good.

I'm really surprised that it has kept its quality inspite of most of the stories being on land instead of in the sea!!

That's good writing.

I also agree that books are starting to be more art driven and story driven. I finish a book in 2 minutes??? I'm ticked off.

I seem to recall Thor being a douche bag for MOST of his various existences.

I've never felt that the enchantment excluded people based on whether or not they're a good guy.

It's more about valor in combat, which Doom still wouldn't qualify for. He thinks his way out of problems. He's not a warrior at heart.

Which is why I don't understand why Benjy couldn't pick it up.

If that guy doesn't qualify, then nobody should.

Well Wonder Woman was a goddess once and has great courage and is generally wonderful so her being worthy makes sense I guess

Ben Grimm is sauce

I'm hoping that A vs X ends with him slapping some sense into both sides and telling them to quit acting like jerks
