I dont care much for the Ultimates, but i DO hope the scene between Cap and Fury when Cap first wakes up in the present from the first Ultimate arc is brought to the live action movie...

There's a discussion (sorta) about him in the Iron Man 2 thread, it's about his 9 picture deal.

I definitely think movie Fury will have 616's personality with the ultimate body. It was a chance too good to pass up. If Ultimate wasn't based off of Jackson, I'm pretty sure we'd of got a white Fury. I'm glad though, Jackson is a great actor & he's been picking a bunch of crap for the past couple years so hopefully this will get him in some quality films again.

So, how do you think they're going to handle his tenure in The Howling Commandos during the war? Specifically, why he doesn't look any older than he did 60+ years ago? I know in the comics it's the Infinity Formula, but I think for the sake of keeping the story less cluttered, they should tie it into the SSS somehow. Either have it that Cap gave Nick a blood transfusion after a serious injury, and it wasn't discovered until later that a Super Soldier's blood can act like the serum if it's transfered to someone with a compatible blood type, or have Nick take the place of Isiah Braddley in the movie cannon.

IMdB lists "Nick Fury" as a movie coming out in 2012. Obviously it won't be out then, but there's apparently going to be a movie focused on his character.

What's there to discuss? He's hilariously out of place and he looks like a complete idiot strutting around in the pleather trench coat. I consider him comic relief.

I love Sam Jackson's presence on screen. Sam will do an excellent job as Nick Fury and I'm sure he'll be based around the Marvel 616 version cause as some of you stated, the Ultimate are all jerks. I hope we get to see him use that cool gliding outfit he has.

Can't say I agree, I think he works well.

I guess that Jackson is one of those actors that just really gets under people's skin because they don't seem believable in some roles. Will Smith is another good example.

Marvel wants to limit the number of ageless characters in the movie canon: "I think what we wanted to minimize and Marvel definitely wanted to minimize was the number of people who essentially don’t age or travel through time. So you’ve got a 100 year old Nick Fury and a 90 year old Cap and all of a sudden it gets very odd." (http://www.slashfilm.com/interview-c...topher-markus/) So it's doubtful.

I hope we get get to see badass Nick Fury in action and not just a bunch of discussion scenes. We've seen fury talk in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America. It's time to see real Fury on the big screen.
