The poses are the same, yeah, probably the same source for the manip (makes me think of the DCvsMK Superman pose)

But it doesn't look to me like Wilde is ripping off your costume at all...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Wilde has a pretty good, long standing rep here for his manips...

Not to mention, the classic costume is just the design that a lot of people are looking for...

You're design is cool, no doubt, but you can't go knocking other people's interpretations of the classic suit if you wanna be taken seriously in your endeavors...

Claiming the classic costume as "your design" is wrong. My problem is there's a lack of interpretation to call it real design work.

I kinda understand fanboii here.

The base is initially his and Wilde did some touch ups (changing Cavill head and adding more detail/adding/removing other miscellaneous editing) making it very distinctively different in look from what fanboii was going for but the base model is exactly the same including the cape.

So he at least should have gotten credit. I mean other artist here are very protective over their work and are supported by a good deal of members, so no reason to not support fanboii either in this case. Although I don't condemn Wilde for doing it as I don't see a problem in it but we should understand where fanboii is coming from.

I don't know... the manips are two completely different pieces using the same source... I't's not like Wilde was aping the cool lighting/shading effects fanboii was using, and the costume is completely different...

My problem comes from Fanboii's kind of attack... He may as well attack all people here who create a manip of the classic design, with their preferred tweaks.

I get it Fanboii, calling a pic using the classic design is not really the artist's "design"..., but there's room for tweeking, and you really need to get used to that sort of lingo...

Wow, calm down there buddy. I didn't rip off your manip, or use any part of it. But thanks for calling me a thief! Here is the random image I found on Google, that I DID use:

What I was saying was, it is "my new MANIP", not my new design that I came up with. I also said it was a work in progress, so how do you know what I will end up changing? Who are you to say what is and isn't design work?

The base is not the same. It's just a coincidence. I would never alter someone's manip without their approval. Which is why I placed the disclaimer on mine, since people have been altering my work a lot lately.

I know your kind of new here fanboi, but that's something I would never do.

People should try not to make these kind of ridiculous assumptions.

ye the base is the same!

but theres nothing wrong with that - its a great base picture

i wouldnt ay its a ridiculous assumption either - like you said alot of people have tweaked your manips recently (same crap keeps happening to me too and its very annoying) so surely you can see how a page or 2 after he posts a manip a manip pops up that look very very very similar to his posted one (and even more similar to another on his deviantart) how he could quite easily think you had used his as a base

turns out you both just used the same base image

both of you could have dealt with this better by being less accusational but after spending time on a manip emotions are high so it is understandable

as it is it is sorted out now

Hey, Wilde, buddy, would you mind if I used the same base for a Superman manip? I know people usually don't ask but after the minor argument between you and fanboii, I decided to play it safe and ask before anyone calls me a thief.
