Justice League: Doom (Tower of Babel)

Day One of WonderCon is still going strong with the premiere of Green Lantern: Emerald Knights essentially wrapping up the night. Bruce Timm, Green Lantern: The Animated Series Producer, announced that while "Batman: Year One" will be premiering at San Diego Comic Con, another DC Comics story will be animated soon. The movie entitled "JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM" will be based on the "Tower of Babel" story written by Mark Waid. Even more exciting? The upcoming animated film was written by recently passed comics creator Dwayne McDuffie.

I hope Kevin Conroy voices Batman in both of those movies. If that's impossible, I'd like Rino Romano do Year One and KC to do JL: DOOM.

I'm glad to see another JL animated movie. I watched "Crisis on Two Earths" again recently and the fight scenes esp. the end one are really well done.

Tower of Babel my god I got my wish, GET IN!!

Now I know Batman is the main guy in this but I hope to god they don't have it be all about Batman again.

Based off loosely on Mark Waid's Tower of Babel story arc where Ras' al Ghul takes Bruce Wayne's parents dead corpses as a hostages while using Batman's plans to stop his allies if they ever we're to be mind controlled in a deadly matter.

Written by now the passed away Dwayne McDuffie, estimated for a 2012 Spring release time.

Not thrilled they're tackling another big story in this 90-minute format, but concise streamlining is possible. It will be interesting to see if they can top JL:TAS' reworked version of this arc.

The whole point of these DTV movies is to adapt stories that have already been done.

Uhhh....Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Green Lantern: First Flight and Wonder Woman were all original. Yes they did take some ideas from the comics(obviously GL and Wonder Woman were origin stories so they took from that) but none of those were direct adaptions from the comic arc say Superman Batman: Public Enemies and Apocalypse were, besides a few changes here and there.

Hell I'll throw Batman Gotham Knight up there as well, though it was suppose to take place in between BB and TDK.
