I've actually read that Obeah Man arc already. Freaky s***. I felt bad for Tim.

Yes, Gene Colan's collections is great. Just started reading it. Glad they didn't go the Neal Adams route, with all the crosshatching and re-coloring.

He's been doing Batman Beyond for a while now, so what's the hold up?

Someone mentioned it earlier, but I would bet that the heart of the problem comes with the fact that upper management has a problem with Breyfogle. He was blacklisted there for a long time, I believe, and I recall reading that he very nearly didn't get to work on the stuff he has recently. That's probably the root of it. Now that he's getting work again, maybe it's a first step.

So basically, a company doesn't want to make money. Makes sense.

It's easy to boil things down to that, but there is stuff like politics and creative policies towards blacklisted artists that lie behind the scenes. And, while Breyfogle does have respect and his fans, it's not like we're talking about Alan Moore or something. I don't think he's a writer that the DC higher ups will look at and say, "We have to reprint this, it'll sell like crazy!" It would probably sell a decent amount, but there's probably a lot of other stuff they can reprint that will sell just as much.

Don't forget Alan Grant has a decent fanbase and that the target group for this run is about 30ish. Few years from now their target group won't be buying comics anymore. They have other priorities (family, careers etc).

Oh yeah, I don't know what Alan Grant's position is with DC. I don't think he's done any work for them for a long time, though.

If they can make collections for Don Newton and Gene Colan, they will/should definitely have a collection for Norm
