We are screwed after this.....he is going to retaliate big time, and I have a feeling that the US will be the target.

So where are the all outcry for Syria? Well over 500 killed directly from protests. It continues to grow everyday. It's a legitimate massacre.

Meanwhile where are all the fanboys cheering for the secular protest in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood will potentially nab 75% of the electoral seats.

Bush created an international military operation with Afghanistan and Iraq. The only difference here is that most of the major powers don't have the interests in Libya the way that they had in Iraq so you're not seeing France and Germany oppose.

I'm not conflicted at all, WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE IN ANY CAPACITY. But then again, I don't think we should be in Iraq or Afghanistan either...so my viewpoint may be different than many...

As far as Obama being a unique president who should be complimented for creating international military involvement? Uh, no, he had absolutely nothing to do with putting this group together, Sarkozy did....even the people in the streets of Libya know that...

Oh yeah, he's gonna be pissed. He will definitely strike back, but would he go for the US? North America has the best air defenses in the world and an attack on NA would almost surely fail. Maybe he attacks France because aren't they the ones leading this thing?

He doesn't have to hit on our soil to get back at us. We already know that....

Its bad that his family was killed especially the kids but perhaps now he knows a little of how the victims of the Pan Am Flight 103 he had bombed feel now.

He should of stepped down and he could of avoided this from happening

Libyan forces destroy Misrata fuel tanks: rebels
Quote:
Libyan government forces destroyed four fuel storage tanks and set several others ablaze in rebel-held Misrata, dealing a blow to the port city's ability to withstand a government siege, rebels said on Saturday.
Gameover for the Rebels.

I pointed out Gaddafi was a big enough lunatic to set his own oil infrastructure on fire. This event solidifies it. Don't mess with a lunatic, you don't know what he will do when pushed to a corner.

Maybe they will (stupid enough) start supplying oil to the rebels, which would jack up oil prices.

Holy ****, he is ****ing insane.

U.S. says Gaddafi troops raping, issued Viagra: envoys
Quote:
Diplomats said if it were true that Gaddafi's troops were being issued Viagra, it could indicate they were being encouraged by their commanders to engage in rape to terrorize the population in areas that have supported the rebels. That would constitute a war crime.

Al-Jazeera footage captures 'western troops on the ground' in Libya
Quote:
Armed westerners have been filmed on the front line with rebels near Misrata in the first apparent confirmation that foreign special forces are playing an active role in the Libyan conflict.

A group of six westerners are clearly visible in a report by al-Jazeera from Dafniya, described as the westernmost point of the rebel lines west of the town of Misrata. Five of them were armed and wearing sand-coloured clothes, peaked caps, and cotton Arab scarves.

The sixth, apparently the most senior of the group, was carrying no visible weapon and wore a pink, short-sleeve shirt. He may be an intelligence officer. The group is seen talking to rebels and then quickly leaving on being spotted by the television crew.

The footage emerged as South Africa's president, Jacob Zuma, arrived in Tripoli in an attempt to broker a ceasefire. He described reports that he would ask Muammar Gaddafi to step down as "misleading", and said he would instead focus on humanitarian measures and ways to implement a plan concocted by the African Union for Libya make a transition to democratic rule but not seek Gaddafi's exile.

The westerners were seen by al-Jazeera on rebel lines late last week, days before British and French attack helicopters are due to join the Nato campaign. They are likely to be deployed on the outskirts of Misrata, from where pro-Gaddafi forces continue to shell rebel positions to the east.

There have been numerous reports in the British press that SAS soldiers are acting as spotters in Libya to help Nato warplanes target pro-Gaddafi forces. In March, six special forces soldiers and two MI6 officers were detained by rebel fighters when they landed on an abortive mission to meet rebel leaders in Benghazi, in an embarrassing episode for the SAS.
Quote:
The subject is sensitive as the UN security council resolution in March authorising the use of force in Libya specifically excludes "a foreign occupation force of any form on any part of Libyan territory".

Libya: Senior officers defect from Gaddafi army

If Gadahfi is confident enough to visit South Africa, he's either insane or has found no logical reason to worry about his security or the impending situation.
