Oh my God, why can't they just cut defense? It's not like anyone is on your front door waiting to attack!

The US budget is like a 1st grader playing Oregon Trail. Spend all the money on ammunition so you can shoot at stuff, then wonder why your wagon is falling apart and everyone is dying of dysentery.

I'm glad that DC voucher program was restored in the budget. Good move Boehner.

It truly is bad... in Canada, THREE times in the last year and a half has Government actually shut down and now we've got a no-confidence vote. We're off to elections this May and it's suspected to bring about the highest youth turnout in decades. I hope this is true.

If you think this is hilarious wait for the debt ceiling fight in May (before the 16th). It's way more black and white than this.

It probably covers for a couple days worth of federal deficit spending.

Damn, I just read this morning in USA Today what we were spending each day, and I can't remember what they said....but you are probably right.

It is just amazing to me.

In March alone, the treasury brought in 128 billion and spent 1 trillion. So yeah, that makes sense.

I believe Ron Paul said something the national debt will go up 2 trillion this year on Facebook. So, come Jan 1st 2012, 16.2 trillion in debt? Wonderful, I am taking notes on managing money here...

Cut congresses pay by two-thirds, take away their lifetime premium free health care, and have all their benefits end when they leave office. They are no better than us, and they should not be treated like royalty when they leave office. They should go back to a normal life, and get a normal job. These people are public SERVANTS and nothing more. When is the Public going to realize we hold the power and not them? I am tired of schools losing funding, and us taking the hits while these worthless bickering old men and women set in Washington reaping the rewards.

We could save some money by defunding Voice of America and the Armed Forces Network. The Goverment has no place in subsidizing radio.

The Government has its hands in a lot of cookie jars that it shouldn't.

While we're at it the USO seems frivolous.

Things have changed in 10 years. America can handle terrorists now. It's not like you need a whole ****ing battalion to take out a small group of hijackers. Stop being paranoid

Well, if it makes you feel better.....IF they do decide to cut those out....I'll be happy to write a big check for each. I would see that as money well spent for our troops.

But, calm down, your NPR funding is still in the bill.

I doubt NPR will survive 2012.

Of course I support VOA and AFN. I just hate how NPR is being singled out.

But you know that. Defund USO? Ridiculous.

Less Toby Keith and More Gary Sinise though.
