Is that it? Looks...different/missleading. The outside could be boring, but theinside could be great. Who knows?

If this design that we've been seeing is actually real, it's probably just a devkit.

I don't ever really look at consoles and think "this looks exciting" lol.

As long as it plays games in HD, I don't really care how simple it looks.

That disc slot looks too small to fit Wii titles.

Yeah, that makes me think it's BS.
I really couldn't care less about a console's design. The last console that looked nice was the Dreamcast, IMO. Everything since that has been big, bulky, or odd. The only exception is the Wii. It's a nice, simple, compact design but not something I think is great looking. Besides, when you play a game, you're looking at the TV, not the console. I just want something that doesn't weigh a ton, isn't oddly shaped that it can't fit in near other equipment like satellite/cable boxes or DVD players, and has no flaws that make it difficult to access certain features (like the Slim and the USB ports). |

I've heard rumors that it supposedly looks like a "suped up SNES" which.... that thing looks nothing like.
I really hope it does look like something mixed between the NES/SNES.

I don't care about the design either,It's the console's power/function&games that interests me,A different color wouldn't be bad though like Black/Silver/Metallic Blue&Green&Red would be great!!!

I'm not going to pretend that the design of a console "doesn't matter" to me, because it does. I like things that look nice, shoot me. But it's definitely not the most important aspect.

I won't say "the look doesn't matter as long as it has a gajillion features and Double HDs..." because if the system could cure cancer in addition to being the most power system ever while, literally, looked like a pile of s*&$ with controller ports and a disc drive, I don't want it.

The only design that was really jacked up was the first Xbox. It was like putting a giant rackmount server under your tv.

The original PS3 was pretty fat and clunky looking.

I wouldn't mind if it looked like the Wii. That way there, I can fit it beside all my other console.

Example below, 1680X1050 no AA. Much higher than 720p consoles use. You can clearly see crinkles are there, regardless. Actually, in many cases having a lower resolution softens in the image, hiding the crinkly edges. I was playing Mini-Ninja's yesterday at 640X480 rather than the maximum resolution because it made the text bigger and easyer to read with practically no diffrence in visual quility from the distance I was playing. AA got rid of the crinkly edges. Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Same res, AA. much smoother image. Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
All this "HD" crap is way, way inflated. Like "HD-TV's" it's a buzzword. Unless you are planning on sitting really close to the screen, or you have a huge, huge screen way beyond 32 inch, the diffrence is negligible at best. |
