Good suggestion. He's a solid character actor that has appeared in a lot of stuff, but isn't so recognizable that people would just be thinking "That's ___ playing Perry."

I've done this before, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put together an updated cast for the Asylum mockbuster version that will inevitably come out...
MAN OF IRON Directed by C. Thomas Howell Captain Super/Mark Brent: Griff Furst Doris Dane: Kristanna Loken Admiral Dodd: Richard Grieco Dex Doucher: Billy Zane Brainattack: Judd Nelson Femora: Patricia Velásquez Jacks-It:Mark Dacascos Jamie Wilson:Chris Chatman Harry Wright: Bruce Boxleitner Joseph Brent: Greg Evigan Mara Brent: Deedee Pfieffer Or-Jel: C. Thomas Howell Rala-Jel: Claire Forlaini

Wasn't Howell cast in the very important part of Ray in the Spider-Man reboot? About time the character was done justice.

Supreme-Man is the mysterious last survivor of the Zyroptonians, a race of advanced aliens with supreme powers destroyed by the ruthless alien warlord Mindthrad. In the last moments of Zyropton, Supreme-Man's father Zar-Hel teleported him to the future - our present - as Greg Brant, ace reporter of Utopia City's Weekly Orb, run by Barry Beise. There, Supreme-Man befriends young reporter Tommy Joelsen and falls in love with his co-worker Lucy Lines.
But things won't be as easy for Supreme-Man! Criminal mastermind Lar Lunghoar finds Mindthrat and they strike a devilish alliance to take over the entire Universe, and Supreme-Man is the only one that can stop them! But can he survive the horrible weapons created by Lunghoard, based on the metal Zyroptonite, the only thing that can cut through Supreme-Man's invulnerable skin? Find out at The Asylum's Supreme-Man. |

Hanks is not that active anymore, and since this isn't a Ron Howard or Robert Zemeckis project, I doubt he would do it. He would be a great choice though.

I love Tom Hanks, but we may be delving into "too-big-for-the-role" category. If they were going with Hanks, I would only see it working if it was a very small, fast appearance or two; a cameo almost. If Perry has any serious time in the flick though, I vote no.
For reference, Perry's screen time in SR would be too much for me for Hanks. |

Danny McBride as Steve Lombard. Accept no substitutes.

That actually is a brilliant suggestion. Holloway could come off as someone kind of arrogant and someone Lois could be mildly attracted to if it weren't for Superman, or the fact that he's such a meat head(making him a decent foil for Clark)
![]() ![]() I see what you mean with Danny McBride, and I think he would be hilarious. However, he would almost come off as a harmless buffoon that Clark wouldn't have to think twice about. Last edited by Superman2007; 04-26-2011 at 02:51 PM. |
