I think it'd actually be pretty cool to see Nic Cage in the new movie. I know, I know - it'd be weird, but I could really see him in a lesser role.

I desperately want Michael Keaton for Perry White, besides from the obvious sub-joke ( Batman being Superman's boss), He played a great journalist in The Paper (1994) and a news producer in Live From Baghdad (2002). Plus he's great in the Other Guys as a police chief

Is it true that Sean Penn was offered a role? If so, I wonder which role? Perry White?
With the big names they're apparently considering I really hope they'll nail some more for Perry, Lex and Jor-El. Will we get lucky tonight? I predict Michael Sheen might get cast for a role, but none of the above though. |

Interesting choice. That guy is pretty good. He kinda looks like a zombie version of Stellan Skarsgard.

sometimes wishcasting works out....sometimes not.

I dont know...His presence commands respect. Thats a trait that I would think a leading memeber of the science council would have. Crowe seems stubborn as he11 as well, and in a way, Jor-el is too. He'd have to be for him to try and convince the coucil he was right several times over.

Maybe Snyder and Nolan saw in him what you saw. Or something different depending on the version they've cooked up. Maybe Jor-El will be seen kicking ass somehow leading a battle maybe. |

Lol...well, i've been hoping for Goodman or Denzel (as Perry) and Isaacs as Lex, with a outside shot at DDL and Mortensen as Lex as well.
The goodman suggestion is not my own, but I do like it. I think showtime suggested him a long while ago.

Maybe, who knows..I find myself excited over the thought of a non ice planet krypton. I really hope we see mile(s) high towers with hover cars zipping here and there. I also want to see forests and some crazy looking animal life, if only for an instant.

I hear what you say, but I dont want no Star Wars associations though. The rumors about a Coruscant-looking Krypton/Kandor makes my skin crawl.

Coruscant, while looking huge and advanced, didn't have much color to it..maybe snyder can make sure his krypton is full of lots of color and life. I for sure dont want to see every single citizen of krypton wearing the same color uniforms/clothes. Let their be diversity.

Yep, I would prefer a lush Krypton with organic and colorful cityscapes. But tech-wise Coruscant wasnt really that advanced looking. Just a bunch of spacy buildings and vehicles with no real thought behind it. I want "real" alien technology with a scientific approach, you know, stuff that would seem surreal to us. Something multi-dimensional... I dunno! Again, I'm using THOR's Asgard for reference. It looked kinda fake visually, but the design was pretty inspiring with floating architecture and what not. Not very realistic maybe, but aweinspiring. |

Maybe snyder will come up with something new for Krypton, I just hope it doesnt look ''too far out there''.

Is Connie Nielsen officially cast as Lara? If so, that's even more awesome casting, imo.
