I wish we could get an HD link to the international trailer. Frankly, I love all things X-Men First Class at the moment....except for the damn posters.

That trailer was simply gorgeous! I thought the X-men 3 trailer was the best I've ever seen (good trailer, dreadful film) but this easily takes the crown as THE NEW BEST TRAILER I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!

I...cannot...wait! They should give Matt Vaughn creative control over the comics too, he really looks like he gets it.

All the Magneto lines are so quotable! Loved seeing the President.

I'm still not sold on this film. Granted, Matthew Vaughn directed this and Jane Goldman co-wrote it, but I'm just not feeling it for First Class.

The footage looks great, but it doesn't feel like an X-Men film at all. Maybe if the word-of-mouth on this film is good, I'll be more hopeful.

It feels really Kirbyeque to me with the uniforms, Cerebro and Magneto's helmet. X-Men has gone through many different eras so naturally one's expectations of X-Men will be quite different, I myself having lived through the Cyberpunk and post-movie Morrison eras of X-Men.

What I curious is whether that is Xavier and Magneto's first meeting or if they've met before. In X1 Xavier mentioned he met Magneto when he was 17. This would dispel the notion the movie ignores X3 and Wolverine and rather validates what Singer and Vaughn said it takes liberties like a normal comic book retcon.

It feels more like a the X-Men than Singers movies did to me. Singer tried to do a more grounded version as he put it it recently. Vaughn has fully embraced the comic tone and as he grew up reading the comics and Jane Goldman has probably the entire run of X-Men comic in her house due to her husband I would say this will be the movie most like classic X-Men stories from the 60s to mid 90s.

People also say X3 felt more like the comics in terms of tone and atmosphere then Singer's films did too. Doesn't mean much.

But a film is a film and a comic is a comic.

I bet that was no accident either.

Sure, I think X3 was probably the most vibrant of the films, but it was also the sloppiest in terms of execution.

Hey, where was this link before I started making all those GIFS?

They could've come out a little bit nicer using the 720p resolution...Nice find anyway.

Heh, yeah, I'm thinking the artists behind the trailer threw those little shots in from X1 as a little shout-out (the Cerebro doors too). I'm pretty sure they won't be in the movie.

The movie looks amazingly comic worthy. I agree that the first three movies seemed more like film's while this is the comic brought to life.

On a side note the actors all look amazing as their characters : )

Exactly. I have no trouble differentiating the film universe from the books and judge each effort as a film on to itself. X3 was sloppy as a film, period. It appears that First Class has hit that X2 vibe and that's perfect in my book.

They better not reuse those X1's cerebro scene because that would be cheap. ^_^

Hi to all. English is my second language. There are several lines in the trailer that I cannot figure out. Can anyone write what they exactly say in the following lines? I have written the time-codes for your convenience. Thanks in advance.

(00:51) The Russians .................... Cuba.
(00:59) .................. new mutant division.
(01:08) Mankind will ......................... us.

Well, if he showed up in Cerebro he is a mutant, maybe his power is not aging .

The Russian have sent warheads to Cuba (sent missiles to Cuba)
We need you're help to stop them. So we're supposed to be the CIA's new mutant division?
Mankind will turn on us (Humans will decide to become enemies with mutants)
