This fo sho.... and if you add in all Marvel movies top 10 would go 1 Spiderman 2 X Men 2 3 Spiderman 2 4 Ironman 5 Thor 6 Blade 2 7 The Increadible Hulk 8 Ironman 2 9 X Men 10 Blade for me...... in terms of being cinematic, and having really powerful stuff ripped off the pages of the comics... The Blade movies desrve more respect then what they get.

I vote for Thor. Iron Man was great, but I had more fun with Thor.

I really loved Cap, don't get me wrong. Had a great time, will see it again in the theater before it goes, will buy the DVD. Like the character, and Evans' take on the character, a lot.
And I really loved Iron Man when it came out (and it's still a fun rewatch). But just speaking purely subjectively here -- not trying to argue which is "the best" movie from an objective standpoint -- for me, it's Thor. It really hit me the hardest, in a good way. Made me feel *immediately* like I wanted to see it again. Got me interested in reading the comics. etc. |

Agreed. Thor was my best. The interaction between the characters seemed so much more dynamic and grandiose than the others. More emotion. Captain American had heart but it did not pull on my heartstrings as much as thor did. The bigger moments like the lifting of the hammer for being worthy was awe inspiring. Thor's sacrifice and his meeting with his brother on earth were great moments. Plus the humour was funny. Plus the fact that is had a great acting cast just adds up to the best for me

Agree with sgaana and tek. Plus, Captain America dragged during the middle part of the movie. And when we got action scenes, it was a montage? I liked how many times they showed us Cap throwing the shield, but come on, put them in the proper context, show us the whole action. Anyway, Thor may not have the hammer for a good portion of the film, but I thought the movie moved forward and at no point did I find myself getting bored. Iron Man, was awesome, and RDJ is a genius, loved all the flying scenes. But RDJ was the only one I liked. Jeff Bridges got kind of annoying. The guy who played Jim Rhodes was kind of forgettable. And Gwyneth just phoned in her performance. In Thor, from Hemsworth, to Hopkins, to Hiddleston, you believe they are the characters that they are portraying. Idris Elba, with all the controversy of his selection, showed everyone that he is Heimdall (such an awesome and imposing character of the movie). The warriors three, Sif, all great. Natalie Portman, had a limited role, but with whatever she was given, I totally believed her performance. Kat Dennings was hilarious. And this was the only role in which Eric Skarsgard played that I actually liked. Great job by the cast across the board, and the direction was sublime. True, it lacked action towards the end (could have used a better climax), but with all the strong performances by the cast, I didn't mind it as much that the Destroyer was disposed of in a matter of seconds (considering that he was tearing through that small town and the Warriors 3 and Sif for a better part of the last arc). And about the climax, for me, it's when Thor sacrificed himself and his hammer returned to him, oh man! I would always shake in my seat (saw it 10x), from sadness to excitement in a split second, wow. Anyway, I vote for Thor as the best Marvel movie ever.

After seeing Captain America, my top film is still the same, Iron Man. Thor is my second favorite though, as I both liked and enjoyed it more than I did Captain America. Why? because it took risks.

As a movie, as a non comic book movie it was great, but as a Marvel Comics Thor movie it was pretty Garbage, like with most of these recent comic flicks they have completely reamed all the characters and backstories and origins and it just destroys the whole movie for me i cant enjoy it im watching it and im just like...... thats not thor, thats some character they created who seems similar to him, it never feels like a thor movie.

I think most of the MCU movies are solid without being totally sold on them but Thor is easily my favorite of them.
- Beautiful special-effects. I loved the look of Asgård! - Best acting/actors. Hopkins, Portman, Hemsworth and Hiddlestone were all really great and captured the emotions of the story. - Best balanced humor. Well placed jokes, never took away from the drama. And I thought Darcy was very funny and great as comic-relief. Drunk Selvig was very funny too! - Coolest action. Loved all the cool moves Thor did with the hammer! The hand to hand combat also worked great. - Best shot. Branagh really managed to create som really beautiful shots and cinematography was splendid, keeping things interesting on a visual level. |

The honor of best Marvel film should probably go to X-Men first class. I haven't seen Captain America yet, so I can't say who is the second, but Thor is in the running.

I think the escapism of Asgard and Thor's universe is what really stands out in my mind. Mind you I am a huge Tolkien fan and love the Fantasy genre in general so I might be a bit biased.

I would assume so, I went to pick up both thor and x-men at walmart today, and first class had barely any copies left, whereas I couldn't find a single bluray for thor.

I Love Thor as a character but feel that the movie was just ok. It definitely needed some Loki mischief on earth while Thor was in his most vulnerable state. Looking forward to getting that in the Avengers.

Cap, thor, and both iron mans are tied for me. Thor had great characters and wonderful acting. Cap has lots of heart and great action and it just felt fun. Iron man 1 was totally awesome, everything about it really. Best origin out there. Iron man 2 was more entertaining than the first. Loved seeing iron man and war machine fight the drones back to back, it was just so unbelievably awesome and superhero-y.

Noooo. Thor is not the best Marvel studios film. It's their weakest to date.
#1 - Iron Man #2 - The Incredible Hulk #3 - Captain America: The First Avenger #4 - Iron Man 2 #5 - Thor |
