Well I know Young Griff is quite a controversial character but so far I like his inclusion to the 'Game'. I'm going to try and put a good dent in it this weekend.

This is show related but if that's the case the show could totally leave out the first two Davos chapters of ADWD and not really miss a thing.

Oh, it was taken down. Somebody was spamming the board last night with a series of self published fantasy novels with the most hilarious (what looked like hand drawn and crayoned covers) novels with plots straight out of D&D. It was like 4 books/covers with a short summary underneath.

The Song of Ice and Fire books are fantasy books for people who hate fantasy. It's unbelievable how overrated they are. With that said, I actually find the show alot more entertaining.

I love fantasy. Outside of the English canon of literature, fantasy is pretty much all I read. Oh, did I just debunk your statement?

Have you ever read any of them? If you have, and you can't recognize the high level of prose and all levels of narrative writing involved, then wow, I don't know what to say.

I hate the internet. In the middle of reading Storm of Swords right now, but while poking around for news of Game of Thrones Season 2, I stumbled across the Red Wedding without so much as a spoiler alert. I hate being spoiled, but the dramatic irony is so palpable now...

I read the first Davos chapter after Renly's death, it's when Stannis wants to take Storm's End. I'm assuming Melisandre killed Renly since Davos describes the shadow thing she "gives birth" to kill Ser Penrose as resembling Stannis' shadow, which is the same thing Cat said. Now to find out if Stannis is aware of any of this, I have a feeling he's being played.

Those 2 scenes are going to be VERY confusing to the viewers. I've been filling my mom in on what's happened in ACOK (she doesn't care about spoilers, she has other books she wants to read before this series). I won't bother trying to explain that.

I definitely think Melisandre is up to something and is using Stannis. If he had listened to Davos and attacked King's Landing, he would have easily captured it since Tywin was going west and the chapter before had the huge riot in the city. But I have a feeling that question still isn't answered by ADWD.

But it also depends on how hard you're using the term, too.

Still looking forward to the Jaime and Cersei POV and Arya. Victarion I think also has one coming up too.
