Well I know Young Griff is quite a controversial character but so far I like his inclusion to the 'Game'. I'm going to try and put a good dent in it this weekend.

This is show related but if that's the case the show could totally leave out the first two Davos chapters of ADWD and not really miss a thing.

Oh, it was taken down. Somebody was spamming the board last night with a series of self published fantasy novels with the most hilarious (what looked like hand drawn and crayoned covers) novels with plots straight out of D&D. It was like 4 books/covers with a short summary underneath.

I put up a non-spoiler review over on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/review/R3Q7ZV3...&tag=&linkCode It's gone about as well as I figured a positive review would - mega-hater-attack in the way of negative feedback. Oh well. Seriously, people are positive-feedbacking anything with a low score and negative-feedbacking anything with a high score.

The Song of Ice and Fire books are fantasy books for people who hate fantasy. It's unbelievable how overrated they are. With that said, I actually find the show alot more entertaining.

I don't even know how to make sense of that.
I love fantasy. Outside of the English canon of literature, fantasy is pretty much all I read. Oh, did I just debunk your statement? Have you ever read any of them? If you have, and you can't recognize the high level of prose and all levels of narrative writing involved, then wow, I don't know what to say.

I hate the internet. In the middle of reading Storm of Swords right now, but while poking around for news of Game of Thrones Season 2, I stumbled across the Red Wedding without so much as a spoiler alert.
I hate being spoiled, but the dramatic irony is so palpable now...

Oh man. Don't even utter those words. Seriously. Spoiler that ****.
I stayed away from pretty much everything ASoIaF-related, outside of posting here, for the weeks leading up to the release of ADwD, and for the week it took me to read it.

Indeed. I'm interested to see how this is approached in the show next season.

There's no hope for any of us. Well, except for zanos there, since apparently A Song of Ice and Fire totally sucks.

The passage of the story. Maybe toward the end of ACoK, if not, then definitely in ASoS and then ADwD. Yeah, I can't claim it's really any particular one of them.
But it also depends on how hard you're using the term, too.

Why do you think that?

Well, that was considerably less than I'd hoped for.
I feel let down.
