I agree, that would've been pretty cool.

Yep. If he hadn't been pounding fools with Mjolnir we'd hear complaining about the lack of hammer beat downs.

In the books, he always uses Mjolnir, even against foes who don't carry a mele weapon. When you see a Wolverine fight, you want claws. With Cap, you want to see shield action. With Thor, you gotta have the hammer.

Thor's super strength and durability comes through when you see how he takes hard shots from the frost giant and smiles, or when he is blasted through a wall and stabbed with a spear by Loki and keeps coming.

Exactly, now there's plent of room for feats of strength in Thor 2 and The Avengers (although Hulk is gonne be the "strong guy" of the team).

No 3D
Thor vs The Destroyer should've been much longer

^^^ Yep, hopefully Thor vs. Executioner is longer and more destructive in Thor 2.

Yeah the more I think about it I'd rather they spent the money for the 3D on more MOVIE

One thing I also would have changed was have Thor wear his helmet more. I forgot when he even wore it...can someone remind me?

He only wore it for the scene near the beginning when he is walking in through the big throne-room crowd, to be proclaimed king by Odin. He takes it off as he kneels in front of Odin's throne.

Yeah I'd have Thor wearing the helmet more often in the movies too.

A better climax. I never felt Thor was in trouble.

When he gets his power back, it won't be as goofy. The way they did it was borderline Beauty and the Beast.

Speaking of Beauty, Portman is built like Golum, so.... Yea, cast her differently. I don't think she's a good actress. You can say Black Swan, but that plays to her strengths. That's like saying Johnny Depp playing an eccentric charming weirdo well makes him a good actor (I know, some of you do, some of you also liked Avatar too).

A better love story. Jesus, within what? 2 days they're "in love"? Are they teenagers?

-More choreography to the fights.

-More action.

-Hawkeye cameo taken out.

Good gawd, saying Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp aren't good actors. I literally just saw pigs fly. Then I made some bacon.
I also hear a lot of complaints about "the guardian guy" being black; despite the fact that I am black; I feel he gave one of the best performances.

What would I have changed about the movie?

It would have been me instead of Thor at the receiving end of Jane's farewell kiss

Maybe not necessarily change, but some things I would have like to add:

-More of Thor and Loki, as kids and adults, just conversing or teasing each other, like brothers. It would have made their confrontation at the end all the more tragic.

-A little more backstory on Sif and the Warriors Three. As much as I loved their characters in the movie, I would have liked to know more about them and their relation to Thor.

-Give the Destroyer just a bit more screentime, and make him more of a threat.

-I would have liked to see the barfight with Thor and Selvig, which was referenced by Thor himself. ("We drank, we fought...he did his ancestors proud."). It would have been awesome to see Selvig kick some butt.

It kind of sounds like they filmed this and we may get it as part of the deleted scenes on the DVD/BluRay. *crosses fingers*

Yeah, I envision artistic cuts to those scenes as flashbacks when Loki is dangling from the Bridge. Quick cuts, faded/bleached color with echoed audio effects, would have been a great touch.

I heard it was in the script. I haven't read it but I imagine someone prompts Selvig to start it and Thor looks after his buddy.

I wouldn't say so much as change, but maybe add something more to the film.

I think one of the main gripes that I've read people (fans and critics alike) having problems with this film is that the events of it take place within the small timespan of 2 days, thus some having a problem with fully (not completely) believing that Thor who's been the way he was prior to his banishment for hundreds of years, could change like that within that amount of time.

If anything, I would have wanted Thor's time on Earth to have been about a month; where we could have seen (mainly in montage to save some time) on how he was slowly learning how to become a humble man and how he was adapting towards living in his supposedly new home.

Something that probably would have added to Thor's change in perception in tackling conflicts without a physical implication would be if Thor (while human) would have encountered some hostile like locals within the town and how at first he wanted to deal with them physically, only to slowly learn patience and learn how to deal with them in a non violent way like his Father wanted him to do with the Frost Giants; thus gaining their (the hostile/pain in the ass civilians) respects.

Finally, it would have been nice to see on how Loki was causing some mayhem to the people of Asgard during his temporary rule. I mean the feeling that I got at the beginning was that Loki was considered a friend by the Warriors three, and yet later on in the film, they seem him being king as a bad/terrible thing without us the audience having seen anything to imply on why they would think that other than his refusal to bring Thor back.

I liked the film a lot, but the one thing I would have changed is the whole alien/dimensional beings business. I'm sure it was tossed in their to placate the (very) few people who would have complained about the characters being actual gods. Thor is the God of Thunder, not an alien.

It was a shame they felt the need to include a silly explanation like that for the sake of a small group.

4 things:

1) More action sequences.

2) Better climax.

3) More flying sequences. Flying is awesome.

4) More Asgardian gods. Honestly, it's like Asgard is filled with only 8 people, and guards (and random people in toga).
