It's not my fault they made Phelps so much faster than every single perp in the game on ladders and pipes.

It's also not my fault they didn't implement a "grab dude's foot" command.

Yeah, that bugged me. Whose first instinct wouldn't be to grab the dude above you and yank his ass off the pipe?

Also, balancing sucks. Forcing you to push in the opposite direction while walking to make your character retain his balance is the worst gameplay mechanic short of quicktime events and should be completely removed from all games, ever.

lol there was a chase where the guy started to climb, but I was in the middle of tapping A to tackle him. Phelps pulled him right off and threw him to the ground lol.

Chases take a long time for me. It seems like Phelps is only marginally faster than any of the suspects, even the chubby ones like Greg Grunberg's character. You can't tell me that motherf***er could outrun Phelps for more than like 3 seconds, yet there I am, chasing him around and around the block.

Sadly... now that I'm finished with Homicide I'm starting to get bored with it. I actually started playing RDR again, lol.

I think I'm gonna be one to go against the grain here. I just finished Homicide and started Ad Vice last night, so I'm only like one case into Ad Vice, but I'm liking it more than Homicide. Ad Vice investigations seem to be much more about following a trail of hard evidence than working through the web of lies people involved in homicide cases conjure up.

(Translation: I still suck at questioning people.)

I won't be giving up on it... hopefully I start to like Ad Vice more. I think I'll enjoy arson.

I just beat the game today. It was good but I don't think it deserves the praise some reviewers are giving it.

Now that 2K are calling it a franchise I'm interested to see how they are going to improve on this formula.

London Noire set in the '70s.

I want Life on Mars as a video game, basically.

I really liked the first Ad Vice case, the second one was just kind of dull and the 3rd didn't really feel like an ad vice case.

Well, in fairness, half the Traffic cases ended up being homicides that just happened to include a car somewhere. Nothing gets people interested in a case like a dead body.

I was just thumbing through some cases. Kind of strange that they had the Intolerance set featured so prominently in the game considering it was torn down like 20 years prior.

They're just setting the tone for the prequel DLC

They did say the set was old, abandoned, and falling apart, at least.

I'm marking it down to a Perception Filter.

Phelps perceived it falling apart pretty realistically.

As uncouth as I know it makes me sound, I could've used a few more segments like the shootout on the way down from the Intolerance set with Traffic. Just a few more fun, loud, over-the-top bits that let you put your brain to rest and be a badass action cop. Although, as I said, I'm only starting Ad Vice now, so maybe we do get a few more of those.

I want this Keep A Lid On achievement. I figured I'd get it from the guy you have to brawl in the first Homicide case, since there's a save point there and all, but he's so damn annoying with his non-telegraphing.

For me, Traffic was somewhat forgettable. Homicide was great but I hated

the ending, because it made all of the previous cases seem like you got everything wrong since Cole was right about the murders all being by the same person.

I was really getting into Ad Vice until

The end where you get demoted, right when you're on the verge of solving the scandal. What made it worse was that you switch characters just to end it, and Cole is completely absent from it. I would've preferred Jack get killed for snooping, as opposed to basically taking over Cole's role.

I thought Arson was great though with

the connection to all of the newspapers articles throughout the game.
