PSP and PS2 HD Remastered Games Thread

Well, I said the same thing about X-2 as well. Didn't really see much need to revisit that one, and didn't care much for the characters from that game, but it became my second favorite entry in the series, so I'll keep an open mind (and I was more interested in XIII's characters than I ever was X's, frankly).

On the subject of XIII-2, I wouldn't mind playing it if they do a decent job of summarizing the first game and actually fixing its problems. Having said that, I do wish they would just cut their losses and forget about this whole Fabula Nova Crystalis nonsense and move on to Final Fantasy XV.

I dont expect to see a FF XV till the next generation of consoles. I definetly dont see them doing much development on it till Sony/MS have a prototype model and dev kit for them to work with. Till then, I see them pumping out XIII stuff and possible PSP/PS2 remasters to fill the FF void

Yes, and I've always thought that it was the most interesting of the XIII games.

lol.......we'll prob be on the next cycle of consoles by the time Versus comes out.

Hopefully Verus XIII doesn't suddenly go the way of Beyond Good & Evil 2 and is planned to be released on the next generation of consoles.

Honestly. It would almost be reason enough for me not to get the HD collection.

Im glad bc I was actually looking to finally playing DMC3. The last game I played through was 2

They should have done what Konami is doing with Silent Hill. The HD collection doesn't include SH4, because they apparently don't view it as a true SH title or worthy of the name. Same should have been done with DMC2. It's one of the worst games I've played.

What harm does it do putting it in? If its not taking away much resources and time, then it should be there to complete the set. If you dont like it, then just dont play it. I havent played it since it was originally released but I dont remember it being that bad. If I recall correctly, the story wasnt too interesting but the gameplay was pretty much similar to the first game. I might change my opinion upon playing it again but I think the hate it gets is blown way out of proportion

The gameplay was similar, didn't make it fun though. Enemies and villains were completely horrendous and the AI was dumb as ****. I remember that one boss battle I won by simply walking backwards and shooting. Level design was bland. And the story just wasn't too interesting, it was barely non-existing. As much as I hate FFXIII, at least that was a polished game. Bare bones, but polished. Oh, and Dante's personality. I don't think he even had any in the game.

DMC2 deserves every bit of hate it got.

Fair enough. Like I said, I havent touched it since it came out, so I dont remember too much about it. With that said, I dont think they should just omit it from the collection

I hope I can purchase 1 and 3 separately instead of paying more for a collection that includes 2, 3 is one of my all time fav games, can't wait to play that again

Easy solution? Just dont play 2. The only way you might be able to get them seperately is if they release this digitally. If you want a physical copy, they will be all 3 on a bluray

Another and even better but less likely solution is being able to purchase them individually so I can not have to buy the 2nd one, I'm not saying I won't buy the collection just cause 2 is in it but if there's a way to avoid getting 2 altogether, while also saving a few bucks instead of paying for a game I'll never pay, then I'm gonna go that route

You wont be saving any bucks. These collections retail for $39.99 whether they include 2 or 3 games in them. Its not like if they cut out DMC2, they will slash the price down to $30. You'd just be getting 2 games for $40 instead of 3 for that same price

If they sell them individually on the ps store like ubisoft did with the PoP games, then buying 2 of them will save me a few bucks, though it may be a moot point after kals post

DMC2 is the only one I still haven't played. I think I'd do that just out of curiosity if I get the collection.
But all I hear about the game is bad, anyway.
