My mom is 5'5'', my dad is 5'10'' and I'm 5'11''. My little brother though, he's something special. He's 11 and he's 5'6'' already, he's got some really big bones and large joints, but he's skinny because he couldn't give 2 ****s about food, he's always on the run. My estimation, once he starts eating right and lifting heavy stuff, he'll grow into a proper beast.

And yes, I'm kinda jealous of that...

Man I just did Insanity Asylum Strength workout. I'm a P90X guy at heart but I swear this kicked my butt harder than any P90X workout I've done!

Not really. I can't speak for all CrossFit gyms cuz they're all independently owned, but most (and especially at our gym) we focus A LOT on form. There's always an instructor or two watching everybody and making sure they keep good form. I mean, there are bound to be little things here and there but nothing major.

my dad is 5'9, my mom is 5'3, and i'm 5'7. my dad's dad is only 5'5 or so, so that skewed his height from his mom's side, which is where all the height is from. my brother is 6'2

I hate being 5'9, specially growing up all my life with such a tall dad who'd put an emphasis on my growth, he was having me stand by that one spot in the kitchen where he'd mark off my height every damn year until I was 17 and said "oh well, looks like you're going to be a midget son."

Yep. I would love to be 6'.

I'm also sure that if I was I would think, "damn i'd kill to be 6'2."

Thanks bro, guess it just got to me at the time since it was my dad, him being 6'7 made him feel disappointed I came out average.

Got to make the most of what we have, or try to get wider if that is what it takes .

I am doing a loading phase on creatine for the first time in 2 years or so. My elbows were swollen. Not bad or painful, just bloated. Its made me gain a little water weight before (normal) but I've never had such overt swelling. I had taken 3 servings monday then one in the morning and then the afternoon today. I was just doing the 3/per day for 3 days, then on maintenance. I'm just gonna go maint. from tomorrow on. Its let up a little since earlier in the day. Never had that happen before, and I have taken it quite a bit before.

How do you guys do your Creatine load phase and how do you cycle it? Ever had any weird response like that?

How does it compare to regular Insanity?
If you havent tried it, maybe we can trade at some point?

Creatine Monohydrate needs to be loaded and cycled from my experience. Creatine ethyl ester requires neither. Serving size is tiny too; only half a teaspoon so it'll last for-freaking-ever.

I have the regular Insanity and I really like the workout. Asylum is Insanity on STEROIDS! Imagine Max Interval Plyo holding dumbells! It's earned it's name!

So I have been living in a new apartment for about a month now and up until an hour ago I have not been able to hang my gymnastic rings anywhere here, and it feels so damn great now that I don't have to drag my ass all the way to the gym in order to work out properly. So really excited for tomorrows WOD! Anyone do any gymnastics type exercises in their routine?

I think I shall get me some of that. I don't remember that stuff last time I was training hard (5 years ago). Comparable price also.

So, I know this has come up before, but how much does everyone spend on food?

It seems like if I want more than chicken, beef is ridiculously expensive. Minimum around my area is $5.99/lb if it's on sale. Unless it's just a big roast for $2.99 or $3.99/lb.

Anyone know of any where to get meat for cheaper prices? Especially salmon, shrimp and fish. Minimum for those guys is like $7.99/lb or more.

It also tastes like pennies dipped in battery acid. I have to take a mint beforehand so the taste will be skewed.

If it makes you feel any better, being a 5'9" lady made me feel awkwardly tall until I became an adult. So, tall to some, average to others

Mixing it with a flavored BCAA powder makes it tolerable
