It's a joke how overpowered they are in this game.
Close-range combat isn't even fun anymore. It's just a ****fest of grenade-throwing.

I agree. I was not a fan of the Halo 2 campaign at all. But that multiplayer was AWESOME

Yeah Halo 2 campaign sucked coz Microsoft rushed it out. The multiplayer though... good times. Those maps were the best.

Hate is a strong word, I just thought it was rather poor. But I'll go ahead and air some of my grievances about it.
A lot of what I dislike about it could be called nitpicky. Such as I didn't like that there was no fall damage, the jumps were way too floaty, grenades were incredibly weak, etc. I think those are genuinely bad design decisions, but the real issue I had with it comes down to this: I just didn't like the focus on dual-wielding. Especially since they started you off with a single SMG. By itself, the weakest gun in the game next to the redesigned pistol. By starting you off with a weak gun, except for the very beginning of the match where everyone is equal, you were always at a disadvantage when you spawned. Whereas in Halo 1, you started off with a very good weapon, the pistol. This ensured that whenever you spawned you had a fighting chance against a better equipped player. In addition, take the fact that the weapon balance heavily favored dual-wielded weapons, and add 1: You couldn't melee while dual-wielding, and 2: you couldn't throw grenades while dual-wielding, and this meant that most battles in the game devolved into extremely boring circle strafing until someone died. I could also go on to say how I really don't like how slow and plodding the movement in Halo is, how bullet spongy everyone is, how imprecise most weapons feel, etc. But these would be complaints directed at the series as whole and not just Halo 2 specifically. And I guess at the end of the day, I just don't like Halo multiplayer very much. It's taken me three sequels to realize it, but I've finally accepted that Halo has just gone in a direction that I didn't care for. |

See for me the heart of Halo 2 MP was the BR. There were so many things that could be done with it. Be it the "noob combo" or grenade/BR combo or melee BR combo there was so much strategy and fun to be had. Thats why I loved Halo 2 MP

One thing I hope is that this game brings Halo back to the spotlight.
The main reason why I don't like Reach as much as Halo 3 (my favorite game of all-time), is that no one plays custom games. Custom Games in Halo 3 were so much fun & no one plays them in Reach because most people are playing COD. Don't get me wrong, I love COD. But I miss my damn Custom Games & it's a shame that Reach's wonderful Forge mode is going to waste.

I think there are a few communities that do custom games.

I miss LAN parties. Something really awesome about hooking 7 Xbox's together and playing with your buddies for hours and hours

The trailer was a bit too short. I know it's a teaser, but it's vague even by Super 8 standards.

I hope they make leveling up more enjoyable in this one too. It is laborious trying to reach the next rank in Reach. I've all but given up on reaching Commander

I didn't enjoy Reach online as much as I did with Halo 3.

I didn't care one bit about leveling up. From Halo 1 to Reach, all I've cared about was the campaign.

I'm addicted to how my Spartan looks so leveling up to get new armor is a must for me. I want more customization options in Halo 4

I like the idea of earning credits to buy armor, but I don't like how the credit system determines your rank. I'd much rather go back to the skill-based ranking system.
But I do want more customization options in Halo 4. And GUNGNIR better come back. I ****ing love that helmet.

For me, Halo is all about multiplayer. I haven't even finished the campaign for any of them since Halo CE.

Multiplayer is where Halo really shines. But at the same time I don't want them to put any less work into the campaign. It needs to be stellar on both fronts
