Thought the music was a major strength. The Magneto theme hit the perfect menacing tone.

eXcellent movie!! Even though Bryan Singer was not the director it was great that he teamed up with Vaughn to deliver this classy prequel.
From the start in the nazi camp when Shaw places the coin in Eirc's hand, and the coin flips to show the other side with an X with music playing in the background one knows this movie won't disappoint. It was a treat to see the powerful Hellfire Club depicted on the big screen even though those some of them are not the original members. I loved Kevin Bacon's self-confident, cunning, and intimidating interpretation of Sebastian Shaw, and I was very impressed with his amazing powers. If not for Xavier he would have killed a young and still inexperienced Magneto. Too bad that he had to die because imho he's one of the best villains of all X-men movies. I'm not sure if Azazel is a founding member of HC, but I think he fit great given the name of the club. I know very little of this mutant, but I liked a lot this character and the sort of blades that he used to dispatch his enemies. Every scene he appeared in was badass. I don't know why, but I think that I was most impressed with the characters and powers of the bad guys than those of firts class members. And I think the reason is the bad guys were older and more experienced with their attitude and powers and left a lasting impression. Overall I enjoyed a lot the characters interactions and how the conflict played out between Xavier, Eric, Shaw, and Emma specially. In short I was in awe seeing the story unfold before me. Have seen it twice, and plan to see it again. Here is hoping that Vaughn and Singer continue doing more movies like this one. 10/10 |

Yes, yes, and yes, the pacing and timing was good. I didn't have a problem with the globe trotting at all the movie got is to where we needed to be in a great amount of time.

I will do my contribution in support of this film by going to see it tomorrow for the third time. But more important is that I really liked it.

I've just come back from seeing it again --- that's the fourth time.
A good number of people in the auditorium for a very late Saturday night screening. Still loved it, most of the nitpicks on here really don't stand out to me at all (one or two questions that have been raised are valid but that's all, in my view). I always like to listen to what other people think as i leave... I heard three guys just in front of me (one black, two Asian). One asked the others 'what did you think', and one answered 'good film' and the other said 'amazing!'...

That's nice, yesterday that I went to see it the theathre was half full, and it wasn't that bad at all since it was past 11 pm, and it is a large thathre.
Yesterday I asked one of my bros what he thought about the movie, and he liked it a lot. I found it kinda funny one of his comments that he liked more the helmet as originally used by Shaw than the final version used by Magneto at the end
