True, but with basically everyone on the planet on some type of social networking site, millions of people will still see the trailer since it will probably be released online several days before anyway. As a Harry Potter fan though, I'd love to see it attached to that.

True, but having a trailer before potter is like having a trailer during the superbowl or a trailer during the champions league final, everyone will see it. How many of the general audience (not fans) even know Spidey has a movie coming out next year?

marvel has first option on the trailer/film attachment. If they pass on it then another studio can snag it. I doubt marvel would pass on it for Cap, though

If Marvel has the first option, then why was the trailer going to be with TF3?

No one (official) said it was going to be. Aside from that, don't forget that Marvel Studios is still under the Paramount distribution banner until Cap is released. Paramount may have some pull in that aspect

I rember this but I see why it was never used. You only see his daughter once in the movie and they only mention his family twice.

Makes Sandman look like a hero and not a villain. In fact, the entire movie made Sandman look more like a hero than a villain. Do not like.
Sandman: "Hey, I'm really sorry for accidentally murdering your father figure a few years ago and kind of ruining your life." Spider-Man: "Oh it's okay, it's not that big of a deal." *Hugs* God I hate Spider-Man 3. |

So that means flashbacks? If so, that little blurb is very interesting. I like that angle a lot. Especially the fusion of the importance of his future that could parallel his past.

Cool article, but it IS just speculation on their part. They even mention Pete working at the Bugle, which we know is not gonna happen.

^^ Exactly. Jameson isn't in the film, as far as we know and I think there will be hints and references towards the Daily Bugle in the film. Such as the picture we got of the Daily Bugle van.

He could very well work at the Bugle, no Jameson doesn't mean no Bugle..plus, and I'm not saying its wrong, but there was never any studio confirmation that Jameson isn't in it. The way I see it, until I see something on film, everything is speculation at this point.

Man, I'm still bummed Jameson won't appear. But I can see why him and Harry aren't. They want to differentiate themselves from the previous films on their first outing and that's one of the ways to do it.
But we should see Jameson and Harry in a sequel.

Well I still say it's possible one of them is in it...I know people will say there was no casting announced but you don't have to announce everything and I'd prefer to be surprised by some things instead of knowing beforehand..on the flipside, it all depends on story. I was watching the color of money the other day and read about why Jackie Gleason wasn't in the film..he wanted to be Paul Newman wanted him to be and Scorsese wanted him also, but when they redid the script to put his character in it, he decided he didn't want to be because it didn't work in the flow of the story and he felt his character was just shoehorned in. The last thing I want is characters thrown in just because and feel like they are tacked on...if the story didn't call for it, don't put them in

I can't argue with that. W'ell have to see where this first film takes Peter first to try and speculate what could happen.

Basically. Even if Harry isn't in it, I'm sure he will be mentioned. I mean, Oscorp is in the movie, so of course there will be mentioning of Norman and for all any of us know, he could be in the movie. Surprise me, please surprise me lol..

I'm expecting alot of references in this film. Norman Osborn, J. Jonah Jameson, and more. Hell, maybe a reference to Liz Allen or Sally Avril. A reference to Sally would surprise the hell out of me.

That would be very very dope..I'd love stuff like that to show how deeply thought out the world is from a writing standpoint. Greg Weisman and his people wrote Spec Spidey so well

Oen other thing i'm hopnig for is for Aunt May to still be like a moral guidance to Peter like she was in Raimi's films as well as the comics. She may be a little younger this time around, but she's always been the source of guidance, if you ask me. Whether it's USm or JMS's run on ASM in which Aunt May found out Peter was Spider-Man, which made her even internally stronger. The guidance Aunt May gives Peter should still remain in tact.
