Thor wasn't filmed in 3D. It was post-converted.

We better hope not. Paramount is reporting that Super 8 was no.1 in Japan for a second week grossing $2.6M. If Thor did open then $450M is dead and buried.

Yes it opened in Japan yesterday. It must've made less than $1M because it wasn't reported. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...verseas-207885

Thor had a nice run but it's pretty much at the end. Been running on fumes every since Pirates 4 opened overseas.

boxofficemojo doesn't have the Japan numbers yet.

I've seen x-men:fc has made almost 7M there so far, so Thor definitely can reach 450MWW. Of course that I'm already pretty satisfied with 440M

Actually it was updated. The total Foreign and worldwide numbers include the $1.8M it made.

Saw it Thor this weekend at one of the cheap theaters ($3) with about 30 others - so there's ~ $90 towards the total!

Again fantastic! I've seen it 15 times. Not very eloquent so I usually skip writing reviews. If I love a movie I'll see it multiple times in theaters and if it does well here in the states that can be quite a few weeks. I try to see it once at a local Rave theater because they have the best audio/visual, and IMAX if available. Other than that if I have some extra cash and 2-3 hours to kill-I'll try to find a showing. Don't think I will ever beat the 45 times that I saw Star Trek in theaters!

I should add that I don't view going to the movies as an "event" (same for going to baseball games as well). I go on the cheap - I might have a few concessions but mostly eat before or after. I also belong to the movie chain clubs - AMC Stubs, Regal Crown and National Amusements Star Pass to get the perks of free or discounted concessions and tickets. Another thing I like about going to the theater is watching a movie with others, to laugh and to be awed. Of course, there are times when you have annoying patrons but so far they have been very minor.

hehe NICE I wish we had the cheap theaters here, but we don't. Up in the Chicago area we did and I'd seen a few movies there. Mostly up where I was we had Regal in one town and I think the town next to us was an AMC.
Down here tho it's only Malco, with two sets of Multiplexes in town with 12 screens each.
