25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites were both pretty much ace as far as Trek games go.
I'd probably still rate the Original series over it, much as I love it DS9 suffered in its last season which really sucks for a serialized show.

I never really liked the original show that much. Loved the movies though more so than Generations of that new one with kids from The OC.
Dukats evil powers and Sisko just disspearing to magic land was kinda dumb. The way they strung together the changlings (odo) and the dominion though was really well done. Same with Damar and Garek (who was only suppose to be a one off) who basically started off as little side characters. |

I dono about that, the one in which Vic helps Odo get laid is pretty cornball (in a good way).

I'm a lover of the era of music Vic comes from, but I think he was out of place on DS9. I did like the heist episode though. Dukat's ending was just too off for the character. He was such a devious and awesome villain that I figure he would have some cooler plan in mind that what happened. Still, the Dominion War and the great characters make DS9 my favorite of the Treks slightly ahead of TNG.

Aww, I liked Vic. I thought he was a great character that had a bit of mystery.

Still even as you said DS9 did enough right despite some unfortunate missteps at the end that it was still very much f'n good in its own right. For me it was TOS>DS9>TNG>>>>>>VOY>>ENT

It's surprising considering the success of the reboot we haven't got a new show thats more sexy with more stuff blowing up.

I was a bit surprised at that myself, it's been enough time since the last series that the public wouldn't be burnt out on Trek (bad Trek specifically). Granted it wouldn't likely be able to be about the new Enterprise crew since I doubt a show could support the budget needed to hire the entire cast but I'm sure there is something they could do on that front.

My biggest (and only) gripe about the reboot, is now the entire TNG era (the only Trek I care about really) seems to be getting shoved into a corner and forgotten about. :[

I figured that the reboot would finally give us the Starfleet Academy show hat people have been wanting for a while. I figured they would try to go young to connect with a new audience...and also to have more stuff blowing up.

This game looks sweet! So its not a PS3 exclusive? Can I pretend it is so I can get a PS3 anyways?

And the exclusive DLC, though it may very well be a timely exclusive DLC, we'll see.

I just heard that this game will bridge the plot between the movie and the upcoming sequel, and that the game would be canon… more or less.

The entire game is co-op, correct? I want this, even though I'm a mild Trekkie fan. A co-op Star Trek adventure sounds crazy fun.

Yeah, they said it was built from the ground up with co-op in mind.
The closest gameplay analogies I've heard are to Mass Effect 2. Not having played it, I don't know quite what that means. |

It means goddamn excitement, that's what. Half the time I'm playing ME2, I pretend I'm Picard anyway.

A ME-styled convo system would fit a Trek game like a glove.

Well yea, startrek generally has more talking than it does stuff blowing up.
Even when it has big fights it tends to still have quite abit of dialogue going on. |

I can really go for a 3rd person action shooter playing as Capt. Kirk. So, they've got my interest. |
