We don't know for sure what Cavil will produce yet, and Spacey had to camp it up because that's how the character was written. And it is no contest, especially since one of the films hasn't been made yet.

you know...with all this kind of casting (Oscar material) it makes me wonder what all these acclaimed actors and actresses saw that gave them faith in this movie. was it the script, was it Snyder, Nolan's involvement, was it the $$$, or was it everything?

either way, i'm really glad that after 24 years Superman is finally getting a cast that looks incredibly promising. even taking into consideration the failed Superman projects from the 90's and early 2000's this cast seems to be the best one yet!!!

You are talking about cast. Routh had almost no experience in films. Cavill has proven he can act. And I did say Spacey's portrayal of Lex was probably Singer's fault. But if you are talking about the overall cast of MoS vs SR, it's no contest.

This is definitely the Christopher Nolan influence.

Like I said earlier, the Nolan team should "godfather" ALL DC films (including Flash and GL).

It's the best way to ensure quality.

I don't know for sure , but I think that Nolan as a producer on this helps but I don't want the cast joining this project just because of that, I'm really hoping it's the script (since I'm a bit uneasy on this) as well.

I'm pretty much 100% behind the idea of him being Jor-El.

At first I wanted Jon Hamm to be him just for the irony, but I'm also okay with this.

yeah...i know Nolan has a lot of pull in Hollywood right now, but i can't help but think that there has to be MORE than just Nolan's name attached that is attracting these actors to this film.

snyder also has some influence imo because everyoone who has worked with zack has had a blast and has absoultely loved working with him he brings a certain energy to the set

I hope it's not just the money because then this production will be saddled with a gargantuan budget that it will have to earn back. Then people say its a failure if it doesn't make over 500 mil.

I would like to think that any actor would like to be approached by the Nolan team for any project, right now. Hope that's the reason.
