Jackman's getting noticeably older and since this is going to be a stand-alone film.. could it appropriately take place after the events in the X-Men films?
I think if it's a well-made movie, it would be interesting if at the end of it he goes back to the X-Men-- re-sparking the X-Men series. Again, stand-alone story until the very end where we see him leave Japan for New York. Maybe even with a light hint at a villain or story for the future X-Men films. Then cut to black. |

I believe its pre-X1. But post-X3 would be fine.
