So I haven't been on the Spidey boards in a while...but I've heard that they're going to be redoing a full origin in this movie.

Is this true? Please, someone tell me this is just a bad rumor.

No one knows for sure, but set pics pretty much reveal this is true (recent set pics have shown Peter in his glasses wearing an Oscorp intern nametag, other set pics and videos show the death of Uncle Ben).

Lord, I hope it's just flashbacks.

Redoing the origin would be stupid. It hasn't been anywhere close to long enough to have faded from the pop culture awareness, and SM1 did it fine. Just do the SSM thing and start it with him already established. Please.

I really hope we begin this film off with him being Spider-Man from the get go. If this is another origin film, I'll give it a chance, but that doesn't mean I don't have to like it.

Yeah just because there's been set pics which suggest it's a full origin that could very well be a flashback.

I think a flashback would work for the story & film alot more cause it doesn't take up alot of time at-all. I don't think anyone really wants to see the whole story of being bit by a spider and Uncle Ben dying again. They can easily show it quickly through flashbacks.
