Originally I thought I would have had more to say about the new suit design as it pertains to the movie. I'm an old school guy; I like the trunks, the yellow belt and the S on the cape.

With that said, the more I see this picture, the more I think "I don't care WHAT they do - as long as it isn't BLEEPIN' ARMOR, I'll live with it"

I sure hope they get someone with half a clue in charge of rolling out the important stuff (like the costume reveal) related to MOS.

Yeah, the way that belt dips in the middle is very GO-GO dancer-esque. Or to put it another way, AWFUL.

I must say, aside from the armor look, that new suit keeps looking better and better!

I would be perfectly fine if that were the basis for the MOS costume.

I still just don't get the need for the armor look.

I guess the only plausible explanation for the armor would be that it's Kryptonian armor..............

I don't think the general audience really gives a **** what the costume looks like, they care more about the character himself.

Thank you Jim Lee for creating these awesome new costumes!
I'm happy to see that the fans are coming around and warming up to the armor.
I pray to the lord that Cavill wears the new suit in MOS!
But I know I won't be disappointed since the trunks would look stupid on screen anyway!
Perhaps one day Superman fans take note from Iron man fans. Iron Man has changed his armor too many times to count, but no one seems to confuse the current design of the suit with the character.
Maybe one day, Superman will be seen by most as more than just a costume. Hopefully, the new writing team and Goyer will give Superman the depth of character he deserves.
Exactly!!

Comparing Iron Man's look with Superman's doesn't hold water.
Once again, I'll point out that Iron Man's evolving look is driven by technological advancements and the same holds true for Batman.

superman can tastefully be redesigned with a classic look suit that has a careful mixture of textured areas and flat fabric areas

with a slightly raised logo returns has way to much 3d in the logo

That's because Batman's is driven by Technological advancements, and Superman's is pure genetics.

Unfortunately, if WB go with the stupid Nehru neckline and a red go go belt it kind of kills it imo. Just to add, I think it would be very difficult to really capture the look of that suit for real (or Hollywood real) without it being really stiff/rigid and restrictive for any actor/stunt man that has to wear it.

I don't know what any of you go go dancers are watching, but that is not a go go belt.

So imagine it looking like something completely different to get the point across? That's stupid.

personally, ever since they've revealed the images of the reboot suits i've found that these costume threads have become depressing to watch. i haven't posted much on here and there's a reason why. i just hope that the movie costume has about as much in common with this new costume as the traditional costume has. i don't care if the trunks are gone, i don't care if they change his neckline.....i just want something that looks inspired and not generic. instead of something that makes me go "huh..???" when i first see it (DC reboot costume) i'd like to see something that makes me go "OOOHHHHH *******!!!!"
