You know who I would LOVE to see do a Cap piece like that? Greg Hidebrandt. He's been painting old art like that recently too.

Yeah I remember when you could buy them lol I just haven't personally bought WAR Bonds. My kids both have U.S. SAVINGS bonds tho.

Edit: now that I think about it, I don't ever remember my Grandfather being able to buy War bonds either. he had a 5-10 type soda fountain general store too.

Dude, that's AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!

Actually, my own gramp had a store just like that right here in my hometown in Belgium during the second World War and after that.

I really hope Marvel does some special screenings for the troops overseas who normally don't get to see these things till long after they came out. Also should do some advanced screenings on bases around the US too.

Marvel is missing a golden marketing opportunity and publicity, not to mention just doing something really nice, if they don't do something similar.

Thanks guys Glad to share. I did have one of his Ice Pics with the Coca-Cola logo on it for years. Lost it in a move tho sadly. lol

I wish we had the front of the store outside too. I'd love to compare it to some of the Brooklyn shots. lol

I do too, I'm still not sure if LIX ever got to see Thor or not.

Yeah, but I guess it goes with the military's way of abbreviating it.

Most of the studios do this...you just dont hear about this. Brandon Routh travelled around with free screenings of Superman Returns on Military Bases before Superman Returns came out. I recall seeing Transformers on base in Japan a full week before the American release.
