I'm up to 6. 2nd most of the series, behind X-Men: The Last Stand.

I saw it Once and that was more than enough, it was one of the worst comicbook/Super hero movies ive ever seen.

I really wanna understand this quote. What's the best comicbook/Super hero movie you've ever seen?

The best one Ive seen? umm theres not been a really Great one, none have really gotten it down, but I guess Batman begins and the Dark knight would be at the top.

yes there were many flaws but they were all minor ( i understand that ras al ghoul and henri ducard are not the same person, but Henri was such a somewhat minor character anyway i didnt mind that they combined them, gave it more depth) but those movies were so well done, I really liked them, not perfect but pretty good.

Xmen 1 was pretty good as well, umm also I just saw Captain america last night and i actually liked it, there were ALOT of flaws with red skull, cosmic cube, and bucky but again they got so much else right and had alot of the great details that i was able to look past it.

That's a good answer, well, too bad you didn't enjoy First Class, maybe you're paying too much attention to comicbook-canon, that seems to be what's keeping you from enjoying all of these cool movies fully, but hey, to each its own.

Oh dude, im flexible like with Captain america like that movie had alot of issues but it was so well done i enjoyed it, but First class was a complete mess there was almost nothing right about it, it was like the writers never read a comic book, they completely changed Characters personalities, Powers and Backstories/Origins and that is a complete deal breaker for me, anytime they do that its Insta-Garbage in my book because then its not an Xmen movie its just a movie with mutants who look similar to some Xmen characters.

Look, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have to say that this is one of the most unfair critics I've heard about "X-Men: First Class", granted, the movie isn't perfect, but Comic Book accuracy has never been in the top of my wish list when it comes to movie making, if a movie works, it just works, panel-to-panel transitions to the big screen are never a good idea, and hardly ever work. But I respect your opinion, and I understand why you didn't like the movie. So it's all good.

Once. I would've liked to see it again, particularly with someone other than just myself, but my family is kind of tight on money.

The first time, I liked it, but not that much. Watched it a second time on a whim. The last 6 times I've seen it I have enjoyed the movie very much.

Especially noticing bits and pieces of dialogue that I didn't pay attention to.

I can agree with the fact that changing things from the source material can make it not the same anymore. And to be honest, X-Men: First Class may be the biggest culprit in the series in terms of changing things from the source material.

When it comes to comic book movies, tho, I certainly like all the details that are kept, but most importantly, I'm looking to make sure the spirit was kept. I do believe that X-Men: First Class did a very good job of capturing the spirit. Xavier and Magneto felt like Xavier and Magneto. The Hellfire Club was certainly different, but it still felt right. I thought Emma was portrayed well.

But as far as details go, X-Men: First Class is by far the "least faithful" in my book. Even as much as I hate the changes in X-Men: The Last Stand, even that I felt was more faithful. There are still many moments and plot elements that are ripped right out of the comics. First Class went a long ways towards enlarging the separation between comic and movie in the X-Men world.

Personal opinions aside, I feel First Class and X3 are the MOST faithful out of the entire series, while X1 and 2 are probably the least faithful.

Yeah, I can see that.

In X2 there was no mention that Mystique was Nightcrawler's mother. I know I would have liked that.

In First Class we see Azazel and Mystique are in the same team, so little Nightcrawler might just be on the horizon.

In X3, there's no mention that Xavier is Juggernaut's half-brother.

So yeah, there are lots of changes. Personally, I like how Phoenix was portrayed even though X3 is not my favorite movie and that seems like the biggest departure from the comics.

But, I liked the portrayal because it was a split-personality and not some mysterious force that takes over her body.

Eh, I thought the extremely brief Phoenix storyline we got in X3 was pretty comic accurate.

Sorry, should have explained better.

I meant it in the way that it wasn't accurate in the sence that the Phoenix was a mysterious force in the comics, and in the movie it was a split-personality.

A "good film" and a "good adaptation" are two different things. And neither is a guarantee of box office success (Exhibit 1: Watchmen).

Hardcore comic book fanboys will judge based on closeness to the source material. Critics won't use that criterion. Neither will the mainstream audience.

For those making comic book movies, it's a horrifying balancing act.

I've seen it 10 times now. There is no stop in sight for me, well, until I get my Blu-Ray copy of the film...

I think I'm starting annoy the people at the discount theater.
