It's awesome. Vicious hordes of sprinting zombies.

Everyone knows that zombies don't sprint. Why did Snyder have to deconstruct zombies and allow them to sprint? He must hate zombie movies.

I'll get to it. I have seen all of Snyder's movies 'cept that one.

You should check out the original Dawn of the Dead from 1978 (The sequel to Night of the Living Dead and one of my all-time favorite films) as well as its great remake.

They don't sprint? That's weird because I swear I saw them doing it in the movie. But you're right, Snyder must hate zombie movies, agreeing to make one and all.

The original Dawn of the Dead is better, actually, and sprinting zombies make no sense and are stupid. But the remake is great anyway.

LOL. Now I know you're just trollin'. Your schtick should be more subtle, though. It'd be more effective.

Zombies in general don't make sense. But I see what you mean. I like them both, but of course the original was better. It's my second favorite in Romero's series, I'm in the minority of preferring Day of the Dead.

I find the slow ones creepier. I do love the RE games, though, and the faster enemies make for more panicked playing, that's for certain.
I think the early games were freaky due to the atmosphere. That's part of what makes the zombie subgenre so effective-the ruins of the contemporary world are pretty scary. |

Exactly what I was thinking. There's no telling what a virus that could do that would do to the actual body. Especially considering they don't seem to decompose past a certain point.

The entire zombie pack (on the left) were fast runners: Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
And so was the girl on rollerblades: Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
The only one I can't get proof from (since I'm at work) is the one-armed Chinese guy they used as an extra. He's the one-armed zombie with trainers and sneakers on, who runs towards the mall's back entrance, fast like hell, while they try to get everyone out of the truck, and back inside. They were runners alright. Last edited by _Kal-El_; 08-24-2011 at 06:12 AM. |

The only Snyder film I've watched was Dawn of the Dead. I liked it, didn't really fall in love with it (I'm not a fan of the Zombie genre). I've been meaning to get around to watching Watchmen, but I've been hearing rather mixed responses for it.

Snyder did a great job on Watchmen. I can't possibly see what would be wrong with that film. Just make sure you see the extended edition (without the comic inserted).
Feel free to correct me though. I'm open to suggestions. |

I watched Watchmen, and I can say my confidence in Snyder was given a big boost. Thanks for the suggestion _Kal-El_.

Glad to hear you liked it!
I don't know why it gets such a mixed response either. The only thing I'd change in the whole film is Malin Ackerman, and that's more of a personal preference. |
